HELLO EVERYONE!
A SPECIAL HELLO TO LIGHT AND LUCKYSMILE! I have been so busy buy my recent Happy Birthday email from the forum made me want to check in and say hello! I always promised that I would get a picture up on teh forum and I am sending one or two to Light today! PROMISE
To those that want to join:
Tell us a little about yourself, your goals, your diet strategy and your particular workout plan. I have been out of the loop so I would love to get to know the new members and make new friends!
A bit about me:
I am a 34 year old mother of two beautiful daughters. A lot has changed since I was last on the forum. I got married. Since I played a lot of tennis last year, it is only fitting that we met on the court. LOL! We got married last year. He is the most amazing man I have ever met. We have never had a fight. It's blissfully wonderful and drama free.
I was heavy into T-tapp and tennis. He convinced me to add weights and running since I had hit a plateau last March. Since then I have lost 20lbs and my current bodyfat is 11.9%. I recently got my boobs back via a breast augmentation after losing them to breastfeeding both of my girls.
My goal is to whittle off 4-5 lbs and give the PX90 system a try to see if I can get my arms and abs a little more cut and lift my rear end a bit. I cannot complain about my physique. I am in better shape than I ever have been. My diet consists of portion control and watching calories. Studies are showing that APPLE body types tend to benefit from high protein low carb diets and PEAR shapes (those that gain primarily in thighs and rear) tend to do better with overall portion control and that fits exactly with what finally worked for me. I just want to cut out some of the crappy carbs that I have added since I have merely been maintaining since my surgery.
SO....glad to be back. I love the support of this forum! AND...anyone that is interested in how the PX90 system works for women....keep an eye out and I will let you know! JOIN ME IN THE FUN WITH ANY WORKOUT routine!!

| Okay, I want to participate. I want to lose 20 pounds, but I know that 90 days might be too short of a time frame, but I'm sure going to do everyuthing in my power and if it's possible to lose that kind of weight in that amount of time, I'm going to succeed. I'm currently on a new exercise plan that's working great. I'm also eating about 1500 calories a day. I am going to need extra motivation to stick with it and keep pushing myself with the exercise. I have a tendency to get complacent, but your body will not continue to shed those pounds unless you continuously challenge yourself. i'll keep you guys updated on my progress. I look forward to reaching my goals with all of you! |

Hey Light!
Thanks! I do feel like an OLD member! lol! You guys were always great support! Thanks!
Karen P welcome aboard! I think 20lbs in 90 days is an attainable goal. Once you get started and watch that scale drop you will be motivated to keep it that way. I'm here for questions if you have any...if I don't know the answer...I'll try and find it!
I have already lost 3 lbs and I am relieved. The calorie cutting and calorie tracking always works for me. Sometimes you just don't realize all that you are consuming in a day! www.thedailyplate.com is the best that I have found so far. It has everything as far as nutrition facts...in case anyone is looking for one.
I tried that p90x with my husband and it kicked my butt. It's really geared towards men in my opinion but it is an intense workout. I think I'm going to do it but not exercise. I need to get back on that treadmill too.
To working out and getting a harder body!~

ok Im in too. I need to lose 25 lbs. As Karen P, I really dont know that I can do it in 90 days but I will give it my best effort (I am desperate). I weighed myself and I weight 155 this morning. I am 5'5". I dont really have a workout routine, i need to get one. I will start by walking but I will do it (promise) 5 times a week minimum. I know what i should and should not eat but just dont do it. I have a lot on the line as my 10th high school reunion is coming in three months so this is perfect. Dont know if i can do 25 lbs but i will damn well try!
thans for doing this and inspiring people to be their best... B |

Hello Ladies!
I have not been checking in lately as we were out of town at the lakehouse here in CA. It was freezing though. It was too cold too ski even in a wet suit. BRRRRRR!
Well I started that TOM and I was at 123. I am still at 124 and most of it I attribute to that lovely swelling that happens. If I can pick up on Monday at 123, I will be happy with that. If I can reach 122....ROCK ON!
belindastar - You can certainly reach 20 lbs of weight loss. I would focus more on cutting calories if you just aren't good at having a strict diet. Eat like you have been and just eat 3/4 of it...that should cut enough to see some loss, especially added to walking daily. Once you see some progress, I have a feeling you will be motivated to eat a little healthier.
I am in the same boat. During that TOM anything bad for me sounds wonderful. I have been pretty good though. I'm not losing yet but I am staying steady which I will take for this week.
I need to add AT LEAST walking to my routine. Come Monday, I will do it with you! That gives me a few more days to finish my photo album projects I have going for my girls. Man is it a lot of work. They are only 3,5 and you would think I would have their baby books complete. WHOOPS!
1 MORE ADDITION TO THE CHALLENGE!!!!
I want to add an addition that does not just involve weight loss. I would like all of us to also set aside some time to accomplish a goal for ourselves that we really want to do but can't seem to find the time such as meditate, start a project, clean out a closet. Whatever is nagging on your mind that you would feel a lot better having it finally completed. Just dedicate 1 hour a week. That's it. I think you will feel a lot better about yourself, your accomplishments, and it's good to MAKE time for things that make us feel good. For me it will be this project. It's the only thing in my life that I have put off but constantly tell myself needs to get done. To be able to cross it off the TODO list will feel AMAZING!
After that I want to take up piano lessons or horseback riding lessons. That should be fun!!!
XXOOXO
Fat here we come!
