OK so I guess I need to find out what type of scales to buy? Anyone got any ideas on what type I should get? What brand? I don't want any of those talking scales eaither...might rat me out to the cops if I go on another scale-rampage.

I have a digital scale made by Thin-ner, I think. It's all glass and measures body fat, which I don't use because I don't think it's accurate. I got it at Bed Bath and Beyond a couple of years ago. It works fine as far as I can tell. The only problem that I have with weighing is that I have to make sure my scale is centered on one of my ceramic tiles.
One way to test to see if your scale is working properly is to take a 5 lbs. dumb bell and place it on the scale once the it registers '0.0.' If the scale doesn't say "5 lbs." then its time to throw it out. Or, run over it. the latter is probably more satisfying. LOL |

I've been drinking more water and I exercised a lot over the weekend with mowing the grass and gardening.
In all actuality, I've only lost 1.8 pounds this week. My official weigh-in day is Monday (tomorrow). I think what makes this weigh-in more exciting is that I am 9.8 pounds away from Onederland. |

Thanks Kerls, I think I will take a trip over to Bed, Bath, & Beyone tomorow and take a look. I didn't even think about that place, I was thinking Target or Walmart. I haven't had any really good scales in a while and the scales that bit-thee-dust were cheapy ones ( the lied real bad too ).

Are you guys all on the phen/pro program? I'm curious about the prozac part. What exactly does it do in combination with the phentermine? What happens when you stop taking it.....can it cause you to feel depressed once you stop taking it |

Violingirl and I are both on the phen-pro program - incidentally, we have the same doctor as well. I'm taking prozac with my phen but I think Violingirl is taking Zoloft or something like that with hers. I can't speak on the Zoloft, but with prozac, there are no withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking it. Prozac, unlike many other SSRI's, builds up in your system - that's why people don't feel the full effects of it for at least a week or two. But, because it builds up in your system, it takes a while to leave your system so if you stop taking prozac suddenly, you don't have withdrawals or go into a deep depression.
I've been on the phen-pro combo for a week now and I feel a difference already. |

| Quote: | What is Phen Pro?
"Phen-Pro" is the combination of phentermine and a low dose of one of the following: Prozac, Zoloft, Celexa, Lexapro, trazadone or Effexor. The second medicine is necessary because phentermine used alone stops working after a few weeks. The second medicine makes phentermine work longer and better. Although the second medicine is also an antidepressant, its use in the phen-pro combination has nothing to do with depression.
