Not yet - I have some but I keep forgetting to take it. I am going to have to put them with my bottle of phen so I remember to take them. I heard it helps and the phen-pro docs swear by it and even suggest taking some along with the phen and prozac just to insure hunger control. |
Hey when you try it let us know if it helps, I was interested in that too! Where did you get it? |

You can 5-HTP from GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe:
GNC:
http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2134304&cp&sr=1&origkw=5-HTP&kw=5-htp&parentPage=search
Vitamin Shoppe:
http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/search/en/query.jsp?q=5-HTP&intsource=main
I prefer going to the Vitamin Shoppe over GNC - GNC is more expensive. The Vitamin Shoppe has a much better selection, too. |

Well, beau, you are 20 inches tall and weigh 420 lbs. That could be problematic. |

Thanks for the link. I ordered some from the Vitamin Shoppe (should be here on Thursday). I would run to the store today, but I have 2 kids with a terrible stomach virus and don't really want to ask my husband to pick it up on the way home. I'll let you know how it turns out (of course, they say not to take it if you are taking antidepressants or diet drugs, but as long as the phen-pro doctors are using it I'm not worried). Sure hope I notice a difference. |

I forgot to take mine this morning. I thought about it briefly when I got home but must of got distracted. I keep my phen in my purse so I never forget -- now I just have to remember to throw the 5-HTP in there. |

| Do you take the 5-HTP at the same time as the phen? I do have a bottle of it, but they are 100mg, not 50mg. Should taking just 1 help?? |

I got the information from Dr Anchors' website (http://www.phenpro.com/phenpro_method.php) and the only thing that I see about when and how much take is 50 mg twice daily. I would assume that you would take 50 mg of 5-HTP with your dose of phentermine in the morning and then later in the day, take another 50 mg of 5-HTP.
Is the 5-HTP is tablet or capsule form? If they are in tablet form, then cut it in half and take one half in the morning and the other half in the evening.
The 5-HTP should help with hunger but if you really want to squash major hunger, its best used in conjunction with phentermine and prozac (phen-pro). |

| The limiting factor with the 5-HTP is that the most common side effect is nausea. If you can tolerate the 100 mg dose, it should be okay. They recommend taking it with food to help with the nausea. I don't take my phen with food, but I could see having trouble remembering to take it if I was separating them. I keep my phen in my Wellbutrin bottle, so I guess I'll dump some 5-HTP in too (when it comes tomorrow). |

I'm going to do the same or else I won't remember to take the 5-HTP. I normally take the phen at 8 a.m. and then have breakfast an hour later. So I guess that's when I will take the 5-HTP. |
