| I took my 100mg version of 5-HTP with my lunch since nausea seems to be a problem with it. I've noticed no difference at all! Then again, I'm on a high dose of Zoloft for other reasons. I'm wondering if it's counteracting the Duromine? I may try taking less of the Zoloft for a few days and see if there's a difference. |

| I wouldn't expect the HTP to work immediately. I don't have any idea how long it would take, but the theory is that your body will be able to make more seratonin which wouldn't happen immediately. In everything I have read, there is no discussion about the timeframe. How long does it take to make new neurotransmitters? I'll have to search Google to see if I can find out. |

| hello i was just reading the topic and i been taking phen for about 2 months.the first batch was with dr.b so i got the phen pro.i didn't like not having the sex drive anymore.can't get from him anymore so the stuff i get now is just phen so if the 5-htp works please let us know i want to try it.i get hungry by afternoon. |

| That's for sure. I'll start mine tomorrow (assuming it arrives). Let's all start and see what happens. I have never had it take 2 weeks for an antidepressant to work, so my guess is it won't take that long. |

| Walmart probably does. They usually have quite a selection of vitamins, etc. The most common side effect is nausea, which is why they suggest separating the dose to two times a day with food. |

Are you taking the 5-HTP with meals? That should help with the nausea. |
