Hi I am new here my name is Alex i am 24 and I have been on an exercise plan since Feb. I work out 4 days a week and have a PT one of those days. I am looking for some inspiration. I have lost 20lbs aready but latley everytime I look in the mirror I feel so fat, I also get so upset with myself and wonder how I could let myself get this overweight. I would like to do the weigh in thing with everyone else.

Hi, Alex...everyone seems to have spaced out about weigh ins....but WELCOME!!! I know how frusterating it can be at the end of the week with minimal to no loss. But, once you get past your little plateau, it will come off again until your next one! Just remember: LOSS IS LOSS. so congratulate yourself even if its .2 pound!! hang in there! the skinny you is screaming to get out ... but it probably took a while to get to where you are at...its gonna take some time to take it off! (or at least that is what i tell myself!) i have found that if i monitor all that i eat on the www.thedailyplate.com (free) i can monitor my exercise, water intake, everything. it was time to put myself and my body as a priority..the world around me falls apart if i first dont make me the priority...so...HANG IN THERE!!

Hi All,

I am fairly new to this site and found your posts about needing a buddy for 90 days. I would like to be part of your weekly weigh in. I have been on the weight loss challenge since mid April. I started out at 164 lbs and as of today am down to 153 lbs. I have been watching my portions and calories, exercising (treadmill, pilates, and total gym, not all on same day). Every now and then I get stuck at a certain weight for about a week or two then I will drop 1 or 2 lbs. I would really like to be down to 145 by the 1st of July. My family will be here for the 4th and I would love to suprise them.

OK enough of my babbling.

Hope everyone is doing well on their weight loss.

I'm a medical doctor (a Christian) and I give my patients the same advice that helped me to lose 75 pounds and keep it off for 25 years: eat according to your hunger, not emotions. It sounds both easy and hard at the same time, I know, but I walk my patients through it step-by-step in the program I created. It's called The Eden Diet. It's all about eating food you love and enjoy, but in small portions and only when you're actually hungry. And it's about how to NOT eat because of "external" cues like emotions, boredom, etc. If you're interested, check out my website http://www.TheEdenDiet.com. It's still under construction, but you can view parts of it.

Hello all,
ok I know I am a little late on weigh in's but as of friday I did not lose any thing since last week. Sad but that is ok I have offically lost a pant size so I will keep up the motavation. I am trying to lose 2.5 lbs by July first. So off to the gym I go. Thanks for suggesting the calorie counter website it has helped.

Do you wait for hunger pangs before you eat? Or do you eat according to external cues (the site of food, the smell of food, emotions, etc.)?

Start paying attention to that. It makes a huge difference.

Hi All,

I am posting my weigh in early as I will be out of town this weekend. I weighed in at 154 today. I have not been eating as well as I wanted to this last week. Too many dinners out, and lunches. It was my birthday this week.

We are going to Carlsbad Caverns this weekend so I will get alot of walking in.

Have a good weekend all.
