Starting out, wanted some advice.

Hello everybody. I wanted to get some advice on my routine and see if it was healthy/ helping me towards my goal. My main goal is to tone up. I am not overweight by any means but I would like to look a little better while at the beach. I have only been seriously doing this routine for about 10 days now and I can feel/see some improvements.

Anywho, I keep basically the same schedule and eating habit every day. When I wake up, I have 1 serving of normal grits, and 2 scrambled eggs (nothing added). I take a men’s health one a day vitamin supplement and drink water.

For lunch I pack a ham or turkey sandwich on whole grain bread with low-fat cheese, spicy brown mustard and a pack of lay’s baked chips. I will have an apple around 4ish as a snack.

When I get home, I either do cardio every other day for about an hour (running, riding my bike, etc), or I will weight train on the days I am not doing cardio. When I get done I always drink a 4oz protein shake.

Dinner varies but most of the time it consists of grilled chicken, with veggies or another sandwich. I did drink a lot of beer and soda at one point but for the last couple of months I have only been drinking water throughout the day. I might partake in a watered down sweet tea but only for a caffeine boost.

So should I be doing more? I would like to add in some other foods so any suggestions?
