A few years ago I set out trying to write a diet book. The first thing I did was read a bunch of other diet books. I don't have to tell any of you that there are 1000's of diet books available and a new one out every week. After studying many of the weight loss programs being sold one thing became abundantly clear. None of them are working. The cure rate for obesity is still a dismal 2% whereas the cure rate for smoking, drug addiction and alcoholisim is much higher.

Instead of writing a diet book that espouses a half baked theory and ends with a cook book I decided to investigate why the 1000s of diet plans available are not helping 98% of the people who try them. Since the diet revolution we have gone from a 3% obesity rate to a 35% obesity rate. There seems to be no end in sight. I wanted to solve this mystery so I began studying the problem in way in which no one else had ever done. That being the case I ended up getting information no one else ever had. I looked at all the things I knew to be true and provable I looked at the things that were popular notions about weight loss and obesity and I looked at the scams and why the scams make money. I am basing my conclusions and solution on how to achieve permanent weight loss and good health based upon only things that are known to be true. I am not a theorist I am a realist.

There is a successful cure for obesity. I know this because 2% of people who attempt to lose weight are successful. I found out why they are and more importantly why 98% of people aren't. The answer is both simple and complex.

I am here because my research partner and I are putting the solution to obesity in a book. We are in the process of perfecting a therapeutic approach for weight loss that anyone can learn and teach to others. This is important because as I write this 67% of Americans are obese. The surgeon general is calling American obeisty a greater threat to national security than al Queda. Childhood obesity is also epidemic. If there were a treatment for obesity that actually worked and was safe there would not be enough people to employ that treatment. That is why we are teaching people to help each other using our methods.

I am currently selecting candidates for this therapy as part of our research. This is done via email. I do not even need to know your name. I use email because each session can be memorialized so that you can go back to it and share it with others. In traditional talk therapy things often be come tangental and often the main points become forgotten. This stays on track and allows the patient to review and reflect on what is being discussed. In the end the goal is for the patient to develop insight and attain personal empowerment. This can be a very positive experience and when you are done you will be able to help others.
