Reductil |
|
|
| This is my first day on Reductil. I'm hoping to lose about 20kg. My start weight as of yesterday was 79.9kg and I want to get down to 60kg. Side effects, a great thirst for water! I haven't been as hungry as I usually am, especially this being the weekend! So far so good! |

Hi Marinamia
So happy for you! It finally starts to work for you. Recently, i saw a gal fren, she too was very skeptical about this drug. I told her how it helped me, she just shook it off. She was very over weight then, those jeans she was wearing must buy from Australia bcos only there she can find her sizes. In singapore she could not find a single pair even she is willing to pay good money for it. Last Sunday, i saw her again. She was half the size she used to be (yet as cranky as ever and even worse.. hahhaaa...)
Remember it's a channel for us to get rid the weight not the ultimate answer for us. Change your lifestyle is the main thing. Eat healthy, live healthy and be positive.
Ya, during my dieting routine, i still go for KFC, Burger King, chicken wings, not MacDonald bcos i dun like it. My frens could not believe it and even scolded me.. hahaa.... of cos those sinful food were all taken in moderation, instead of 2 pcs of KFC, i will take one and save the other one for next meal for next day.
Hey, if you feel comfortable, you can email me direct, at jo_ang@yahoo.com. We can share more 'offline".

PS: drink more water, to flush out the toxic......
| marinamia wrote: | Hi Jo,
thanks so much for your words of advice! I thought the forums weren't active so have only just checked here k, again.
ok, my latest update. I've been on reductil for a month now - just last Wednesday started my 2nd pack - 15mg 1 a day.
I have to say, it's been brilliant. I've managed to loose 3kg or so in that first month and probably would have lost more if I had been strict about my diet and did more exercise! In fact, this weight lost, happened even when eating my McDs and Burger Kings! lol.
Reductil has really controlled my hunger pangs, if i think of food, i'm not bothered by it and don't feel that 'i'm hungry, what can i eat right now thing'. and I'm finding that when I do eat, I get fuller quicker and I can put down my fork and stop picking n eating. I love that.
With my 2nd pack, I had my doc check and my blood sugar and cholestorol levels have dropped. Still abit more on the latter. My BMI though has only dropped 1 to 30 (asian size bmi) but I did loose 8cm from my waist!
i'm putting this all down so that you all can hopefully feel, that this does work! I'm seriously the laziest dieter/etc person but I feel lighter, have more energy and happier in life. I hope this doesnt mean its reductil forever but for now, I feel it has been an amazing wonder pill.
Keep going with it ladies, lots of water (i still suck at that) and just let it do its job. I'm determined it will be worth it!
love

Hi,
I took 10mg of Reductil for the first time this morning. I was wondering how long it usually takes before you notice the loss of apetite? I have had no side effects or reduced appetite yet.

Reductil/Meridia |
|
|
My daughter has taken the brand name Meridia twice in the last 2 years
and has lost weight both times. She is 19 and at a high risk for health problems. (she now weighs 275lbs)
I think its different for teens though, because the first time she lost 20 lbs and then a year later had gained it plus 30 more lbs back. She was not really good about staying on it and taking it on a regular basis the first time, but is doing much better this time (one year older maybe??). This time she has lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks. She tells me that it takes about one week for her to really feel the effects. She has had no side effects. (she has low blood pressure, so when she is taking the Meridia her blood pressure is normal) She says that most days the thought of food makes her sick to her stomach. I notice now when she eats meals she does not eat everything on her plate. She says she starts the meal hungry and wanting to eat then as she eats she begins to feel sick to her stomach and quits. Once she is done her upset stomach goes away.
She also said when she was taking the 10mg the first time and then went to the 15mg she did not notice any difference in the effects.
My concern is the long term weight loss. I worry that she will begin on a diet roller coaster, which is not good for anyone.
I also have a weight problem and have not been on that roller coaster for awhile, but I recently had a hysterectomy and wow all I want to do is eat. I am considering taking Reductil because of the cost. Our insurance does not pay for my daughters Meridia and it costs about $150.00 per month. She is afraid to try the generic because the Meridia works so well for her.
I am currently taking an antidepressant and a medication to regulate my heart rate. I will be seeing my doctor next week and hopefully he will give me the go ahead to try it.
I will keep you posted on my daughter and let you know if I try it.
Good luck to everyone trying to loose weight, its a really tough thing to do! |

reductil |
|

It is now my 2nd day on 10mg Reductil and I don't feel like my appetite has changed yet. I had a good nights sleep with no insomnia but I did feel very awake all yesterday evening before I went to bed at 1am (unusual for me...usually feel exhausted early evening).
I am feeling quite nauseous today and have a very slight dry throat (not mouth) and a funny taste in my mouth.
I'm wondering if these tablets will actually change my appetite as I don't seem to be feeling stuffed with my meals (ALTHOUGH, HAVE ONLY BEEN DISHING SMALL MEALS). |

Reductil |
|

Firstly, am I the only man in this forum??
I used to be 180kg's and started a rigid weight-loss plan in Feb 2007, by Feb 2008 I had lost 52kg's - which astounded me, my friends and my doctor.
Unfortunately, despite maintaining my plan, my weight has stayed the same for the last four months, which was getting me down as I still had to lose another 46kg's to get to my ideal weight.
My doctor put me on Reductil a few days ago, the first day I felt awful - lightheaded and dizzy, feeling sick, but almost immediately had a vastly reduced appetite. (I've always battled with feeling hungry).
A few days in and I still get a bit light-headed, but overall feel ok. My appetite is still low and it is really easy to not give into temptation. I havent actually felt hungry at any point, I just get a funny feeling when I really do need to eat - cant quite describe it. When I do eat a meal, I feel really contented and am able to eat very small portions.
In my first week, I have lost just short of 3kg's, my first weight-loss in four months which has really helped boost my morale and determination. I'm pretty sure that the main benefit of Reductil for me is the fact that it is stabilising my metabolism.
I haven't had the dry mouth, although I do need to pee more than usual, no constipation or diarrhea, no change in sex drive (or impotence, thankfully - as that is great exercise)
One other thing I have noticed, I feel really chilled out - I'm normally quite a fussy-bod and tend to worry about stuff, not now, I feel so relaxed and haven't had any issues sleeping yet. I note that some documented side effects include depression and suicidal thoughts - it seems to be having the opposite effect on me!
I'll keep you posted, as I still have a mountain to climb!! |

3Llb loss in 24 hours....how can this be? |
|
|
Day 3 of taking Reductil and feel fine on it except for bad indigestion of an evening. Just seem to be picking at food at not thinking about food throughout the day. The big test will be this weekend, I normally eat late of an evening and drink while relaxing etc. Hopefully, I won't have the desire to?!?!
But on a good note....I weighed myself today and yesterday and I'm 3 Llb's lighter today.....surely I cannot lose 3 Llb in 24 hours??? |

to micky,
really wouldnt recommend taking reductil without the docs perscriptionn. It's a good pill but needs to be controlled. It's not a quick fix though it does help over a period of a few weeks.
Take a pill like that and not eat like i'd imagine you will do - and it's a very fast way to hurting your body and not getting any real results |
