Any Experiences?

Hey everyone just new to the site.

I have just been started on reductil by my gp last Wednesday 9th July. I have been taking it everyday since and I haven't had one side effect. Very little appetite. I have lost weight altho I'm not sure how heavy I was, I was so frustrated I didn't want the gp to tell me what I weighed but in the week I have been taking it I've feel in control in how much I eat and when I eat, it makes such a difference from being on diets and constantly obsessing about food all the time.

I'm interested in hearing from other people on reductil and there experiences.

I have used it myself I was 145lbs in a month and half I am 105lbs and I have stopped already but seems my system got used to the amount of what I eat.

Are you supposed to use Meridia before you start an exercise program?

I notice that you start taking it first to curb your diet before actually starting exercise.

What about being able to keep weight away after stopping with the diet? =)

I am 50 years old. I went to my GP to organise a diet and exercise programme, along with a plan to quit smoking (1 pack a day). He prescribed Reductil, 10 mg/day. This was on 1 June. After 7 weeks I have lost about 2 stone, or 4 pounds per week. The weight came off quicker at the beginning, as is to be expected. I would definitely suggest taking the drug first thing in the morning, as it does raise the body's BMR and gives you a 'speedy' feeling. The great thing is that Reductil does make you feel full after a healthy meal; the downside is that if you take it late in the day I find you can't sleep well.

I have been taking reductil a week today and was astounded when I weighed myself this morning and noticed I had lost 9 pounds!!!
I have a constant dry mouth which doesn't bother me so much as I have always had trouble remembering to drink, and now drink about 3 litres a day.
Very little appetite but always have 3 meals a day. I tend to have special K for breakfast and lunch, then a normal small meal in the evening.
I know weight loss will slow down but never lost this amount before.

I do sell Qu Mei (Generic of Reductil in China) I also used it.. After I weaned my baby from breastfeeding for 2 and 3 months... It actually helps me to reduce the rpoduction of milk.

Hey thanks for sharing your experiance, buy I didnot came across any side effects as of now. I am taking it from last 3 months

today is my first day on reductil.....its making me eat less...

I saw a few post on here that had me concerned that some may not have the guidance of Dr.?  It is really important to not self medicate on these drugs.  As with all drugs, they do have side effects and you need to be evaluated if these are a sensible option for you and your weight loss goals.

I need to lose 10 kilos as it is my wedding in 5 weeks
I need to get this pill and advice and support from u all plz
