Losing weight |

Hi im a 16 year old guy and im 394lbs. I really need to lose weight. Im tired of not being able to do things and beig made fun of.

Hi BigBoy,
You are very young. The best thing to do is committ to becoming a healthier person. Which means eating better & working out. Since you are so young you have a faster metabolism so exercising would really help. Fityday.com will help you count your calories & other great stuff, check it out. Good Luck.

When you are not used to exercising, the thought if it can be terrifying..almost like punishment! What you need to do is figure our what's fun for you. Do you like to play any sports for fun on the weekends? How about swimming? Even taking the family dog for a walk... If you can find any type of activity that is something you actually do for FUN, then this is where you need to start. If your MOVING, your burning calories, just remember that. When the weather is nice, try to spend as much time as possible outside. This is a motivating factor to get you moving! Just being in the fresh air is a natural energizer.
As far as swimming...It's one of the best forms of exercise! I know the idea of "showing a little skin" can be intimidating but is SOOO worth it!
It's great because you can just goof off & play, burn a TON of calories & not even realize it because YOUR DON'T SWEAT! It also adds resistance with body/water movement, to help strengthen your muscles.
Just try to make a list of some things you enjoy doing. Then make a point to do 1-2 of them a few times a week. Eventually, you'll have so much fun with it, you'll look foreward to "exercising"!  |
