Anyone with the knowledge, please:

I can't find Ephedrine HCL for oral intake where I live, but I've found Ephedrine Sulfate for injections. My question is: What would happen if I took this substance orally?

I have the feeling it'd be the same thing if the right dosage is taken, because the ampules contain Ephedrine Sulfate (50mg/ml) and water, however I'm cautious. I read somewhere that the stuff for injections is highly toxic if taken orally. Is that correct? If so, why? Any thoughts? Thanks.
