What do you guys think about this -- it says he'll provide a refund if you've filled out a progress note since the decision date (July 15). Well, I filled one out on July 11... Friday. They said (before this decision came and all) that it would be called in yesterday (Tues) or today (Wed). I'm wondering what is going to come of my prescription?

He didn't refer to anyone getting refunds if they filled progress reports BEFORE the decision date... does this mean we're getting our Rx's still?

I know this kind of seems rude to ask given the events of late and all, but I still need to know if I'm going to get my last RX or a refund.... what do you guys think?

I think you're well within your right to ask. You've spent the money, after all. Since you're so close to the cut off date he put in the email I would just call his office and politely ask them. I would think someone would still be there to answer your question (I hope). I'd be a little nervous going to the pharmacy without talking to his staff first, but that's just me!

Yeah... you're right. I called the pharmacy and nothing has been called in from his office yet. *sigh* Me thinks I'm out of luck. But honestly, I didn't think I would be originally -- I mean, the date he would have gotten my progress alert and filled out a prescription to be called in would have been when his DEA prescribing license was still valid.

Anyway, I called in and emailed everyone at that office, saying that the least I deserve is to be in the know of what is going on, and the fact that the DEA is coming down on them now is no reason for his patients to be thrown by the wayside. I think that would border on consumer fraud then... something the FDA needs to keep in mind.

Damn government.....why don't they turn their attention to some of the more pressing issues? This stinks for Dr. B. I hope he will be OK. An MD without a DEA license will be hard pressed to practice when he can't prescribe. Well, if the DEA comes knocking at my door (figurativley speaking, of course) bring it on. Bastards.

You're very right, there... he will be hard pressed to practice without a DEA prescribing license. And like the person before said, he probably won't necessarily be destitute, but I'm sure this will take its toll on him financially. After all, he didn't charge an arm and a leg for us to get this prescription, as many places do (YGuy and Chen). Makes me wonder what will happen to Medikal Artz (sp error on purpose) now.... or even PB-rX?

I too just ordered from Dr. B the 2nd time - I just fortunately got my refill YESTERDAY, July 15th, as it was called in on the 14th so i just made it but now I need to find another source before this month is out so I can keep going. I had used it last month for the first time from Dr. B and i was SO HAPPY...but then it took 2 weeks inbetween to get this 2nd and obviously LAST refill so i'm back where i started almost, except for a few pounds I kept off. Now i want to keep going, but everything else is so expensive. It was only 70 + 40 for my Rx from Dr. B. I guess everyone here talks about the Yguy so other than him is there any other source that is reliable? I had ordered from one months ago that was in Florida and they sent me 3 bottles of FAKE stuff that did nothing and took the money!! This is REALLY SAD because i believe all of us here are responsible people and take the drug wisely. Any info for new resources is appreciated.
I did get the same letter from Dr. B today too, saying he was done.

I should note for those wondering if they will get their RX filled from Dr. B - i had filled my progress note out almost 2 weeks ago but i needed a copy of my DL faxed to them and it took me over a week to go get a copy made and faxed....so that's probably why my Rx was filled yesterday the 15th..... i just made it because my progress note was 2 weeks ago, something like July 2nd I think it was. Then i faxed the DL to them on Monday the 14th...and then it was called in just in time. Hope that helps.... i was SO HAPPY to have found him from reading posts on this site. I'm so upset over this as I too cannot afford to pay more than Dr. B had charged. Rolling Eyes

I feel ya hun. I did my progress note on the 11th (Friday). Let me know if yours gets called in. I'll let you know likewise. So far, mine hasn't.

What a load of crap. Phentermine has been around since the 50s and I've never heard of anyone dying or getting sick from it - or it would have been pulled off the market. To go after a licensed medical doctor - someone who was helping thousands of people all over the country is bad enough, but to be the actual CAUSE of a doctor having his license to prescribe prescriptions revoked - thereby ruining his career & his reputation, and who knows what impact this will have on his family - and all because they were mad that they didn't get their pills fast enough - this all relect the actions of one black-hearted individual.

I'm sure this person is a member here because everyone at Topix knows of this forum - but they can't post because they are essentially cowards and can't hide behind made-up names - and trollers like that live for moments like this. All I can say is YOU know what you've done and if you start having a "run of bad luck", and you start asking yourself - "Why Me?" - you won't have to think very long. What you done has pretty much destroyed someone's life and if I were you, I'd be praying for forgiveness right now. I would never wish ill on anyone - it's not in my nature, but YOU know what you've done and all those cliches about Karma; what goes around, comes around and reaping what you sow - well let's just say, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

i just got the email from dr. b as well. i am SOOOOO upset. What a shame! I cannot wrap my head around this! The DEA is worried about a dr. prescribing safe meds to obese/overweight clients to help them get healthier?!! What about all the sleazy docs out there who prescribe addictive pain meds to drug addicts? Why target someone who actually helps people get better?? NO FAIR.

I too have a question....I received my script in the mail a couple days ago. I was going to go have it refilled today. Will the pharmacy refill it?

thanks, T

The pharmacy should be able to fill out the script if it was written before his license was revoked (which would be yesterday). I'm assuming since you received yours a couple days ago, it was written a few days earlier than that even still... so you should be fine.

They actually called my prescription in today because I filled out my progress report on July 11, so I think they will honor anything up until yesterday, and after that just refund people.

Im wondering, this was requested by Doc B, right? Maybe because of the complaint to the Texas Medical Board. Since, no patient was harmed, or had their health or life jeopardized, why would they completely revoke his license, without any prior issues? It wasn't like he wasn't cooperating. It seems harsh that they would yank it, first offense. They could have limited it's use to Texas, or limit the class of drugs he is allowed to prescribe.
Does anyone else find this odd?

How come when I look on the DEA web page, it states nothing about Dr. B... there are all kinds of other info there about recent cases, etc.. take a look here:

http://www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/

Let me know what you find. I am unable to find anything negative on him... Question
