phen-pro docs |
|
|
Hi,
I'm new to posting, but, like a lot of others who have recently come forward, I have been lurking here for months. That's how I found Dr. B back in December.
Anyway, I checked out the list of phen-pro docs and there's one about 5 miles from where I live. If he doesn't work out, I'll just hop on Amtrak and be at Dr. Anchor's office in Maryland within a matter of hours. He says on his website that he welcomes out-of-state visitors and even recommends the motel near his office for convenient lodgingl The office visit is $120 and you have to buy his book for $40. He has to see his patients every 90 days. So I figure in the long run, he'll be even cheaper than using Dr. B.
Thanks for pointing me to the website! |

I think the docs on the phen-pro list all subscribe to the same basic theory as Dr. B. did. I took the next few paragraphs from Dr. Anchors' site.
When patients reach ideal body weight or get stuck after losing some weight, I recommend stopping phen-pro for a month to see if the patient can maintain their new low weight off the medicines.
Approximately one third of the patients can keep their weight low off the medicines. They do not need to continue taking medicine, but they should weigh themselves once or twice a month to be sure they are not regaining; they may need a "refresher course" of medicines in the future.
The remaining two thirds of patients, off the medicine, will see their weight start to go back up because their excessive hunger returns. They should be put back on phen-pro before they regain too much weight and they should be kept on phen-pro, indefinitely if necessary. It's no big deal. If they had high blood pressure, you would put the patients on life-long medicine. Ditto high cholesterol. Ditto gout. Ditto estrogen. No one should discriminate against weight loss medicines. No one should discriminate against obese people at all. Obesity is a medical disease like any other. |

I have considered the drs in Ga., but will they prescribe phen when I am not overweight??? I am about 5'5 1/2 and weigh 115. However, I gain weight so quick when I am off phen. regardless of how much I exercise and try to eat healthy. Phen is the only thing that works for me and allows me to stay at my goal weight.
Please reply if you have had experience with any of these phen-pro drs other than Dr. Anchor. I just wish I lived closer to him!!! |

| well, it doesn't hurt, to ask does it? Explain that to the doctor and see what he says, the only thing he can do is say no, right? |

| you are all welcome. Hopefully these docs have the same forward thinking Doc B has, pertaining to weight loss. For those of you that aren't near one, like me, I am going to keep checking back, to see if the list has been updated. |

phen pro docs |

This is great. I called the one on Arlington, VA and they charge $580 for the first visit and $285 for the next monthly visit. So that's a big no-no.
The ones in Maryland seem to be more reasonable with $180 for the initial visit... in 2 weeks |
