My 2 cents |
|
|
For the life of me, I just can not understand all the hoop laa the DEA is making over Phen....last night I watched a special on gastric bypss surgery...the risk of that surgery are extreme....It seems to me that the risk are much greater for surgery than for Phen....not to mention all the new TV commercials on lap band surgery......Maybe, just maybe, if a little less dramatic help (like Phen) was avaliable to these people, they wouldn't feel it necessary to go to such extreme measures...like surgery.
I am a 33 year old mother of 4 boys....2 years ago, I hit my top weight of 232 (I am only 5'2")....I was miserable....I was actually considering gastric bypass, then I found Phen at HRT, and thought I would give it one more try without surgery. In a year, I lost 125 lbs....., I have kept my weight off and now stay around 107, I feel GREAT!!!!!!! I could NOT have lost the weight without Phen.....Phen saved me from a much more invasive measure of loosing weight. I still take it to help me control my appetite....because alone, I have NO control and would be right back in the same boat as before.
So, I have said all that to say this......the DEA needs to look at the risk of bypass surgery, lapband surgery, and all those suffering other health problems due to their weight, and GET OFF of those of us trying our best to become thin and healthy on our own.
The DEA is probably filled with gross, fat, ugly people that dont care about themselves and are just p*ssed that WE want and strive for something more!!!!!!! |

You are an inspiration to us all!!! Way to go!
My husband had the gastric bypass a few years ago & has lost half of his body weight. He has kept it off and had great success with the surgery. He looks amazing.
My friend recently looked into having the lap band and when she went to the consultation she was convinced that the gastric bypass would be the better way to go. Apparently with the lap band you have a very slow weight loss and a higher chance of weight gain after placement of the band.
So, my friend is getting all of her tests done & is overly excited to finally have a solution to her weight struggles. |

My 2 cents |

Let me add "my 2 cents" as well in congratulating u on your loss and your ability to keep it off which is the biggest job ever. I too have used phen off and on but I am gaining a few lbs back now.
My take on the DEA is this. If we purchase Phen or some other prescribed medicine over the 'net, that takes away money from the doctors and pharmacies we use in our own states. The DEA is not truly concerned that we may get bad drugs nor are they concerned about our general health. Its all about money. Our doctors also get some kind of kick back, I believe, from these drug companies so that is why some will prescibe one med over another based on which company sales rep got to them first.
Anybody else have a personal take on the DEA other than they are probably a bunch of 'fat slobs'???
By the way, if any of u watch TORI AND DEAN on tv, u better believe Tori will be very skinny the next time we see her in the fall because she will have gotten all the drugs she needs to get that baby fat off and she needs to share it with Dean because he's packed on the pounds too!!!! |

I think it's the pharmaceutical lobbyists in Washington who are pushing the anti-Phen agenda. Look, phentermine has been around so long, it is no longer under patent, which means any manufacturer can make it for pennies...that in turn means money out of Big Pharmaceuticals' pockets. They want to sell patented products for boatloads of money. They don't want us fatties being prescribed cheap phen because they lose money several ways: 1) the simple cost of the medicine 2) Phen helps people lose weight, which means people will be healthier...so they won't need other medications Big Pharma is peddling.
The FDA and DEA could care LESS about our health. It's politics, bitch.

Hey Sugar,
Wow! makes perfect sense to me! Well said.
If I have to hear the obesity thing one more time,
from my doctor or on tv or where ever else they
(drug companies etc)
plaster the rant "Obeisty epidemic"
I swear I will "punch" something and
I'm not the violent type!
Say, I just sent you a PM.

It's most likely adderall, and not phen... |
