Hi there, i was wondering if Weight Watchers is a program that is signifigant or if it is something that is more of common sence and it helps you maintain your eating. if anybody has successfully used weight watchers, how did your diet change from before to when you started weight watchers.

I started weight watchers Sept. 17, 2008.  Since then I've lost 61 pounds.  It works.  You can do it on line or go to the meetings?  I go to the meetings and get weighed in every week.  I don't find that the on-line way makes people as accountable for their eating and you don't get to hear from others what they go through week by week.
Weight Watchers is a program.  It's not meant to STOP!!  If you have ever heard anyone say that they did it at one time, they didn't do it the right way.  I've heard that a lot- that it worked when they did it but when they stopped, they gained their weight back.  Well, of course they did because they stopped eating the right way, too.  This PROGRAM (and I stress program) is meant to be an education on healthy eating.  You can eat anything!!!!  You just have to TRACK it.  You have to be accountable for everything you eat and believe me, that should be a comfort to everyone.  Now, I know exactly what I'm doing every day.  It gives me focus and a goal for what I'm doing.  NO LONGER AM CONFUSED ABOUT WHY I'M NOT LOOSING WEIGHT!!!!  Now, I'm loosing, I know why, and, I know what I did wrong before.  Once you get to your goal weight, you set that with them, stay within 4 pounds of it for 6 weeks and then your a lifetime member.  Now, you don't pay anymore.  Of course, you have to weigh in once a month and be within your goal weight range or you will have to pay for just that month.  You should try it!!!

It's a great program !  I have lost the most weight from this one.....I don't go now because I do better with a partner and I don't have one now.  I am struggling at a plateau now and joined this forum hoping to get on-line support from internet friends to boost me.  Go and join....you won't regret it !

I second what RiverGal says!   I have a LifeTime Membership at WeightWatchers - lost 50 pounds THIRTY YEARS AGO and, with ups and downs, have kept most of it off.  Menopause is kicking my butt (and killing my metabolism), but if you want something you can stick to without feeling deprived, WeightWatchers can't be beat.
Good luck!
