Asenlix (Clobenzorex) was FDA banned in the U.S due to the increased incidence of pulmonary hypertension. It remains available in Mexico. I was recently notified by the FDA that since it is banned in the U.S., importation is considered illegal and should be reported as a Positive Test even if the Donor produces a legitimate Rx from Mexico. Also, other more up to date sources report FDA ban in U.S. due to serious effects(over stimulation CNS) and corroborate above--including that ,despite RX from Mexico, employees who are drug tested can be reported (asenlix is metabolized to amphetamine).
