So my husband and I have started running and eating healthy. We run 2 miles a day and have cut out our sweets and soda intake. Together we have lost 33 pounds! Our goal is to lose 30 pounds each...almost there! However, he loses weight faster and we run the same and eat very well...why is this?

Maybe he has more to lose. Heavier people seem to lose faster than thinner people, or more wieght faster rather. At least that's what I've observed.

I have found that most men lose faster than women. I beleive it has something to do with our hormones!! But keep up the good work, I think you are doing great!

Ok, well it stinks but men have a different body fat composition and a much more substantial metabolism. I seem to think this is due to testosterone. Also remember that due to our feminine hormones our bodes try to hold onto our weight. I suppose for the reason of reproducing. You will get there. It will just take a little longer. Good luck!

It has to do with lean body mass. Men have more and the more you have the more you burn. This a good reason why to always add resistance training to any weight loss program. At this point you also have to vary your routine, try adding sprints or other high intensity interval training.

yeah that seems to happen a lot, men tend to loose weight so much faster than women and seem to gain it slower too. It makes me mad, the same thing happened with my husband and I, here is something that will make you feel a little better
