Hi everyone,
I just started the south beach diet yesterday. 5'7" 267lbs 19 yr old female. Although ppl think I weigh 200-210lbs I feel terrible. I have a classic Pear shape and all my weight is in my hips and thighs and I hate it. My boyfriend says he loves me the way I am but I dont love how i look. I started this diet to become healthier.. I think 195 will be a good weight for me, my build and in the past I was at 220 and looked pretty good just need to tone some areas but that was short lived due to an injury that kept me out of the gym for months. If any one has any suggestions or are in a similar boat as myself don't heistate to post. look forward to reading.

I would ignore your boyfriend and concentrate on your health instead. Just getting out and moving more should help you to lose some weight. Cutting down on high fat foods, especially cheeses usually helps too, and is an easy thing to do. Some men become jealous if their mates become more attractive and desirable to other men. He's probably a bit insecure. Just do your thing.
