What should be the adequate nutritional standard for vegetarian persons who are with sound health. The weight of those persons are normal and neither overweight nor under weight. What should be the intake of milks and fruits everyday?

I am a vegetarian myself.  I think it's super important to just keep everything well-balanced, because you could so easily lack the proper nutrients if you don't pay attention. I would say this goes for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike though. I make sure to eat a variety of mostly organic foods including whole grains, beans, tofu/tempeh, other soy products, fruit and vegetables, beans/lentils, nuts/seeds, and very limited dairy products...unless of course, we are talking about cookies, ice cream, cake, etc. (Haha!) :)  Oh, and I often gulp down a greens drink that I buy at the health food store (powder form) which is supposed to contain all your vegetables for the day.  This is a pretty good site where you can analyze the nutrients you need and how to get them: http://www.vrg.org/nutshell/nutshell.htm#nut.

Thanks for your valuable inputs while responding.  You have added so many useful themes for nutritional needs for Veg and Non-Veg people. By the way , what's the cost of Tofu in your area?
