I am going to the gym after 4 weeks of eating, drinking and scratching my ass on the couch. It will be hard but I have to start. What are your plans for the After Christmas Weight Loss?

I have been going to the gym 5 days a week for an hour doing cardio and strength training.  Also I am using a diet/exercise journal online at http://www.prevention.com It's actually a lot more than that, you can chart your weight, your goals, your calories and other nutrients, your activity, and lots more.  It's called "my health tracker." I think everyone should give it a try.

I just got back from the gym. It was better then I've expected. I plan to go trough all the muscle groups this week and the next week to add some creatine, proteins and vitamins. OK people lets get back in shape!

PLIEM - You know what they say...the hardest part is getting started.  Just remind yourself of how good you feel at the end of the day when you accomplish all (or most) of your diet and fitness goals!
LIGHT - thats awesome...im getting to where going to the gym just makes me feel good (afterward of course, not during lol) and if i miss a day -- even when its a scheduled day off -- i feel guilty
I have a question...I have been doing total body weight training 2X a week...should I bump it up to 3X a week?

If you can YES, go for a 3X week. You can have a 3 times per week weight training and one session of cardio. The best would be to mix them out, cardio and strenght training.
Indeed I hate to skip any training, it makes me feel guilty. You are right hitting the gym makes you feel good. Exercise will decrease stress hormones like cortisol and stimulate "Feel Good" Endorphins.

well i have all cardio days 3X a week and on strength training days i do 1/2 hour cardio 1/2 hour strength training.  my goal is to go to the gym 5 days a week

I do have a question though...what types of cardio can you do with a slightly sprained ankle? Seems like ive got a bum ankle and I dont know how long it will take to get better.  I dont want to make it worse, but i dont want to miss out on my exercise.

Protect your ankle until its better. There is not much cardio you can do like this and there is no point in making that ankle worst. Treat it and meanwhile you can do weight training and core workout. Try some core workouts. I was surprised how effective it was.
Check this out: http://www.trainwithmeonline.com/core_workouts.html
It is a $4 membership fee but this site have some very good core routines with videos and explications. You can even work out at home.
