Hello, I just joined and I am looking forward to participating as my sister has been battling a serious weight problem her entire life and I have seen first hand the effects this battle can have on a person. I will catch up on some reading and will join in soon.

Good for you!
Most people need to see an example of something before they can see how a change needs to be made! But remember, YOU need to be the reason for your change, as it is the only reason strong enough to keep you on the Road to Weight Loss!
I am also building a community to assist, as we all need every resource available to not only lose weight, but start on the Road to Weight Loss and STAY ON IT FOR LIFE!!

Having a weight problem does not necessarily mean one is not healthy--
I know more unhealthy skinny people than those who need to lose...
One of my so called "healthy" neighbors "a nutritionist"
dropped like a rock last year...
She did everything she was taught to do to "stay healthy"
and went to get into her car one morning and dropped dead in the
driveway...No pre existing problems -no illnesses--nothing--
so much for "healthy".
