OK Here is the background story. I went to my Dr and my Thyroid was tested (I have gained weight, tired, etc. etc. ) and my thyroid was just UNDER normal so the Dr would not help me with Thyroid medication because she said my thyroid was not bad enough. Well, Years ago I had my thyroid tested for another issue, and it was ABOVE normal, so mine being just "under normal" is a huge difference to my body. The Dr did not see it that way.

When I explained to her that my weight it going up, my blood pressure is going up, etc etc and it is not going to get better, she did not seem to make the connection that one prescription could stop all of these things from happening.

In one year she is going to test my Thyroid again, and if it is worse, then she is going to give me a prescription. But, what if it is the same, and not worse? I still get no help. This is crazy, it is like the medical community wants people to remain fat just to make more money off of the other problems that come with it.

I am not trying to play Dr, she is the one who told me my throid is slow. But, I have to get worse before she will help me. So, here I am....

I want only one month of thyroid medication to help me, help myself, get better. If it doesn't work, then that is ok, I will try something else, but I at least want the oppurtunity to try.

So, does anyone know where I can find a Dr who will prescribe Thyroid medication for a slow tyroid and for weight lose?

Or does anyone know where I can find Thyroid medication online?

Here are the names I have come up with that are known thyroid medications.

Please, if anyone knows any ideas or have any productive comments, please let me know.

Thank you for all your help!

I feel your pain completley! I have been dealing with low-thyroid for about 4 years, and having a baby 2 years ago made my situation worse. My hormones went crazy! I have lost my hair, had itchy skin, insomnia, fatigue, irritability and gained 20 lbs in 2 weeks!  That weight has stuck to me for the last 10 months, dispite working out with a trainer, dieting, and anything else you can imagine.  Here is my take on thyroid tests...the results can fluctuate depending what lab you go to and what they are testing for. (T3 T4 testosterone etc) my labs always come in right under the mark with one Dr. and WAY under with another Dr. So frustrating! I am currently on Lyvoxyl and Cytomel. The bummer about any of these drugs is this...they usually take 6 WEEKS to make any difference in your system. So, if you find a place to get the meds, order at least 2 months supply. If you only allow 4 weeks, you may see no change and feel hopeless.  I would try an endocrinologist, or just go back to your regular Dr. with continuous complaints.  They are bound to give you a cocktail of some sort...I mean they ultimatley get a kick back from the drug companies, so why not???  Sorry, I am a bit bitter with the medical profession. I take lyvoxyl 100 mcg 1x a day (they have to be taken in the am on an enmpty stomach and dont eat for 1 hour) and Cytomel 5 mcg 2x a day.  My mom & sister take Synthroid 112mcg 1x a day.  Hope this helps you if you can find it black market.  :)  TM

just thought i tell u that.

im NOT sure about this but table salt can replace t3 since its sodium salt. but u should drink alot of water no alcohol or salt if u take the pill. or bubye liver.

TNTMUTH is right...keep pestering the docs and they will give what you seek.
FAWPA is way off the mark and very ignorant to weight loss and "table salt replacing t3." Please do not listen to that person or you may end up hurt or worse...
FAWPA diets but I am sure (by the other uninformed statements in his/her post) that person doesn't eat properly (well balanced and proper amount of calories, protein, fats and carbs) and to work-out 4 hours per day is just beyond dumb...that is one reason you see no "6 pack."
OVER-TRAINING and UNDER NUTRITION! Get a clue. And FAWPA wonders why he/she has an extremely powerful headache...hmmmmm.
Do not listen to ignorant people like FAWPA...they are responsible for helping innocent and desperate people into the hospital or into their graves with their "opinions" or so called "knowledge."
Just keep exercising and eating a proper diet (food pyramid), not "dieting" (calorie deprivation).
Cut out refined foods and lower carbohydrates, increase protein (not excessively), lower bad fats (don't completely omit fats), increase fiber and water intake, take a daily multivitamin/mineral, cut out all candy, cakes, cookies, sodas, fruit juices (except natural)
JUST CUT OUT ALL SUGARS Except on occasion. Same with chips, dips, and pretzels (baked or not).
Cut out all white breads, white pastas, white rices (pretty much anything white or enriched) and replace with 100% whole wheat or at worse whole grains.
It is the total calories and raise in blood sugar that we are trying to avoid...that rise causes the body to store fat. All the things above will greatly decrease sharp rises in blood sugar and will help you burn fat and help increase you metabolism and get that thyroid pumping a bit.
Be realistic about this and eat like this for at least 3 month blocks of time and then take 2 weeks off and eat a little less strict and allow yourself some of those more delicious foods (in moderation of course), but try to stick to your proper nutrition for the most part. Proper nutrition all week and a reward on 2 chosen days for only 2 chosen meals per week.It could be as simple as cheesecake for dessert after eating at a restaurant and going out for breakfast or ice-cream on a Sunday...after those 2 weeks it is back to business for 3 months.
You can do it. Oh, and keep pestering that doctor because that thyroid hormone will make the process a lot easier...and to FAWPA, clenbuterol is illegal for HUMAN use here in the US and is most likely another great factor in your having powerful headaches (one of clen's many sides)...tsk, tsk!
