Hi Friends,
Baglady, Deebee, Sugar, Pamtech, losewt, and everyone else.
I have been gone for a little while recently, Had a nasty computer virus that totally destroyed our computer.
We had the complete so called ANTI VIRUS package from dirty
old Mcafee, They are rotten!
We called to have a trojan removed and their "virus removal people"
completely cleared out our computer so we could not even turn it on!
Please folks if you have Mcafee- WATCH OUT!
But anyway, I am happy to be back in the fold and look forward to
chatting with you-You all are the best and I truly missed you.

Hey Punchie, missed you and your great pictures and wise advice.  Be sure and read up on Caribmeds and Sugar's shill detective work, it is very informative and entertaining.
I have Mcafee may need to change, sure don't need any trouble like you have had.  Glad you are back.

Hi Banker,
It is so good to see you!
Aw.. Thank you for your kind words I sure do appreciate it.
Yes, Mcaffee treats their customers like garbage.
We had paid twice 89.99 each time for a virus removal February and May 2009--(A virus their service let in)
We have Comcast and it is included in their so called monthly internet service, But also had an additional protective service with Mcafee as well and they definitely do NOT stand behind their product.
Not to mention their tech support is rude and in India and there is a very deep language barrier dealing with customers in the U.S.--
I will go read what is going on with the Caribmeds thread--Sounds very interesting.
I sure did miss you all.

Hey Big!
How's it going my friend?
LOL--I still crack up when I think of that.
That is funny that you mentioned that *FATBAT* thing--Mr Punchie had read that thread when it was first out and was just busting up...
So, when all of the *Doo doo* hit the fan these last couple of weeks, I would get all down and depressed and Mr. Punchie would say: Just think about what your friends on the forum would say to make you laugh
And sure enough, That would make me just bust up laughing...especially when I thought about the fatbat comment...You all are just true treasures..
I missed ya all so much but now am just so happy to be back with you all.
Thank you for bringing smiles my way.

Welcome back Punchie!! You were missed!
On the McAfee note. I am an IT major and will share some of my secrets with my friends here. I too have Comcast and McAfee and have had for years with no "extra" support, whatever that may be (they're such cons). I have had no problems though because I supplement it with other programs. The first program I would suggest for everyone, not just McAfee users is Spyware Doctor Starter Edition. It is free and tested spyware free (You have to be careful when downloading antispyare off of the internet because a lot of times it is spyware itself and will give you false positives trying to get you to pay for the full edition). I do not run it all the time, although you could, I just run it once a week. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista

I also recommend Superantispyware, also spyware free. Again, I do not run this all of the time, although you could, and I run in about once a week. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7.

And last but not least my favorite program of all, Advancedsystemscare. You could just use this if you wanted. It does registry clean among many other things. I use it on all my networks and it is free. It is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and 7.

There is no need to pay for these services, there are plenty out there for free. I am not recommending that anyone go without virus protection, these are to be used as a supplement to those programs. If you have any question don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you to everyone here who have warmly welcomed me back.
I so appreciate it.
I will be here off and on, Probably not as much as I have been in the past because of the impending holidays..

Getting ready to decorate for Christmas, (Mr Punchie and little miss jr Punchies favorite holiday) Eh..Me not so much.
But all you wives and parents know how important it is to encourage and support your family members..(especially those who reside in your home and can find a way to make things miserable if they do not get what they want)
{just kidding-- LOL}

I will be dropping by as much as possible, And  I would love to hear how you all celebrate or get ready for the holidays..
Which is your favorite?
Thanksgiving
OR
Hanukkahor

Til later my friends- Hugs to you all.
Your friend
Punchie

Glad your back I also missed your wonderful pictures.  I love Christmas although I wish it could be like the old days when money was not the focus.  I would love it if everyone would go back to giving with meaning, making special gifts.
That would be really special.

Welcome back, Punchie!
My husband and I use ESET NOD32 Antivirus software. He does IT support, designs websites, knows tons of stuff about software and hardware and he researches the shit out of everything before he recommends it. We have no problems whatsoever with viruses with this software. You can get a free trial period, and I am not sure how much it costs monthly, but he swears by it and even has the company he works for (which is an IT-based medical supply company) use it on their systems too.  Check out the link if you are interested: www.eset.com
Its nice to see your back amongst your phrends!!!
