I'm trying for a baby for the last couple of yrs. Any clue as to whether phen hinders the chances of conceiving?

I recently got pregnant using phen.  Only thing was the sudden stop - I ate a ton of food during my first trimester.  You could try the ovulation sticks at the CVS to check if you are ovulating.  I haven't tried them but I have heard that the ones with the smiley face work the best.

It did not stop it for me, I still got pregnant quite quickly in fact.
two children later I am staving off the extra weight brought on not by the children but by much stress from day to day life.

Of course, this dilemma does not apply to every woman, for multiple reasons. Having said this, the majority of women actually prefer to use natural method to fertility.

First of all, try to reduce your stress levels. The continuing stress of work, family, and chores can throw off anybody. If one adds fertility problems into the picture, stress levels may be alarming. Stress can be responsible for migraines, ulcers, and many other types of diseases. It’s no wonder that high levels of stress can present a challenge when it comes to getting pregnant. Stress can actually make you stop ovulating, and also make tour cycles irregular.

Face stress and understand you can manage it. Releasing stress can be the thing you need to do to improve fertility. Decreasing stress levels can make a major change in your life, and even make you healthier. This means simple relaxation techniques can really help if you want to get pregnant. There is no scientific proof, but many hospitals state they successfully increase fertility rates by having women practice yoga, visualization, and meditation. Although we do not know why this happens, many professionals attribute the success to the connection between body and mind.
