...not caffeine based... |
|
|
I,ve just had a look on the packaging and it is not a caffeine based product. The only ingredient is sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate.
My GP has prescribed 10mg daily and I will be monitored, if there is no weight loss at the end of the 1 month supply,it will not be prescribed for me again. I do not think you can buy it in the UK, and as I already was being treated for high blood pressure, it is important that it's use is monitored by doctor.
I am very happy with meridia/reductil, as I have tried loads of diets over the years and none have worked this fast. I know it is mostly water I lose at first but the 9lbs loss has motivated me so greatly! Also I have almost no apetitite, no side effects now and eating sensibly suddenly seems easy. I hope this feeling lasts! For me to be in control of my eating is a miracle! |

still working for me! |
|
|
| Hi everyone! Just a quick update. Just completed week 3 and total weight loss is now 18 pounds. Had check up yesterday with Gp who was pleased enough with the result to prescribe meds for another month. SO happy!!! Still have dry mouth but it helps me to drink loads of water, so no probs. Good luck to all other meridia users out there! |

Hi,
I was taking reductil for about four months. I lost 22 pounds during the first two, and that was that. No more.
After I stopped taking the pill, some changes were obvious.
I wasn't addicted to carbs anymore! And unfortunately my bloodpressure went crazy. It's not low or high, it's changing rapidly, causing a lot of problems. And I already read an article about what reductil caused in many cases - exactly that.
I didn't gain back more than 3 pounds during the past year, but I still have a lot to loose.
I'm dieting fairly and exercising a lot, and obviously it's not enough, so I'm considering to take another kind of pill. Another!
It's sure everybody's own choice, but I have no idea how long it will take for my body to get over the cardiovascular disorder. |

REDUCTIL - MERIDIA |
|
|
Hi everyone
I'm in NZ and have been on Reductil for 1 week and 3 days. I have lost 5kg in total that's nearly a stone so I'm very impressed! I have no desire to snack and although I eat my meal the fullness lasts longer and on many occassions I don't or rather can't finish an entire meal. It's very weird concept haha.
I have alot of weight to loose and hoping to continue on this for around 6 months solid to loose every single extra kilo. It costs a small fortune in NZ, even tho I want the Drs support I see you can order this online for 1/2 the cost. Food for thought.
This is great! I have tried Duramine etc in the past and felt very weird and spaced out. Not so on Reductil - I would recommend anyone gives it a go unless they have a history of high blood pressure.
No side effects except a little dry mouth - small price to pay for great weight loss

I take Prozac for PMS for about 12 days of every month - will I still be able to take reductil? |

| You really need to ask the doctor. Meridia / Reductil and Prozac are both prescription drugs and you should not mess with them. |

Thanks Cara. I thought it might be ok because I don't take prozac full-time. But I took your advice and asked the doc - he said NO |

Thanx Cara, this would be my response too.
Gusest did the doctor gave you an alternative treatment that works with Prozac? |

Reductil NZ |
|
|
Hi everyone , well I started Reductil nearly a month ago and lost nearly 5 kg almost immediately. A bit of a hiss n a roar tho as things have slowed down.
Still, in the month I have lost 8kg which is about 1 1/4 stone or 16lbs... not bad going.
No side effects except weight loss and now getting a few comments that others have noticed as well... yeah will definately keep going.
Cheers

| Oh dear god! No meridia isn't based on caffeine! It targets the parts of your brain that control hunger! Please enlighten me as to why some of you would rather order meds off the internet than ensure that they are safe and get them from your doctor? You need to be monitored while taking this medication that is why it is prescribed and not on the shelf! I can't wait til the online sale of prescription drugs is regulated! When I started Meridia I had to have blood tests and I get my weight checked once a month and I've also had 2 ekg's since taking it because I had chest pains but it wasn't because of the meds (I had pleurisy). Please talk to your doctor before taking any rx medications! |

Good day to all! I'm from Manila and have been taking 10 mg reductil for 6 days now. I'm surprised that it really worked for me. I have just lost 3 lbs. I never had such "immediate" weight loss since years!
I only experience slight dry mouth, which I compensate by drinking lots of water everytime. Exercise at least every other day but i feel i lot of energy i could be physically active everyday. My medication is of course monitored by my doctor. |

True enough, reductil is so far what i can personally recommend to those who find it really difficult to lose weight. In my case, at the very start of my medication with reductil, there was very little effect as to my tastebuds is concerned. But in a week's time, i could feel that my tongue is like thickening and have experienced dry mouth. With this i felt more longing for water than food. I feel hungry at times, but the time i start eating, i easily feel full, which, if i were in my old self without medication, will not be possible. I'm the type who'd finish everything on my plate, but now, i can't do that anymore. I still eat all the food i want, however in small amounts and that feels very satisfying. My appetite had decreased especially in indulging with sweets. I think that part of my tongue is the most affected. |
