I'm 38 now. I vow that I will not be 40 and fat and flabby.

Here's what I'm doing.

I started Reductil on 12th June. I was on it in 2003 and lost 4.5st from January to September. I was only on Reductil about 3 months, from about April through July.

This time, this is how I've done. I'm female and 5'7"

12 June day1 R
205.26lbs

15 June day 4 R
202.84lbs

18 June day 7 R
199.76lbs

So what am I doing?
Drinking about 2-2.5L of water a day
Taking 10mg of Reductil about 10-11am (though sometimes if I'm likely to forget, I take them at 8am)
Doing a 3 day herbal detox--tastes terrible!
Eating healthy foods

the one thing that I'm falling down is exercise. I'm just not doing it. I feel like if I can lose a stone (14lbs) I'll feel more motivated to exercise. That's probably rationalising, though.

Okay, so, why am I doing this?

Mainly for my health and the fact that I don't want to be fat anymore. Also, I'd like to set a healthy role model for my daughter. She already eats well and I'd like that to continue.

Also, I'm returning to my home country in August and I'd like to be a bit smaller than what I am now. I wear a UK size 18 or 20 now and I'd like to be down to a 16 by the time I leave in early August.

We'll see how it goes. Please comment if you have any advice. I need someone who used to hate exericse and now loves it!

Thanks, ironeagle, that's very supportive.

I've woken up and gone walking two mornings. I got up at half five because I like getting a bit of time to myself before the mayhem starts!

I worked through break and lunch today and had a meeting at half seven so ate some stuff from the salad bar at the supermarket. Probably more than I should've eaten but was feeling lightheaded!

We can do this!

day 10

24 June
day 13
195 lbs

27 June
day 17
193 lbs

30 June
day 20
191.5 lbs

I'd like to get down to a size 16 (I'm now an 1Cool by mid July.

Exercise: Brisk walk for 20min 3x/week and one 40min walk per week.
I'll think about joining the ladies gym when I'm feeling a bit fitter and have more time. The summer is bad as we're away most of the time!

It seems to not be shifting. Maybe I am not eating enough?

Today is 14 days exactly since I started on Reductil and worked my way to start exercising/eating right.

As of today, I have lost almost 9.5lbs which I think is good for 2 weeks. I haven't exercised as much as I'd hoped because of working late and because of RAIN!

So, here's my update. I'm off for a two-week sun holiday on Friday and my goal while away is to drink lots of water, eat moderately and exercise as much as possible.

If I came back the same as what I am now, I'd be happy enough! My original goal of losing 4lbs for the first 4 weeks isn't really happening, but I'd be happy enough with a 2lbs/week loss.

As long as the numbers keep going down. I still haven't dropped a dress size and it was terribly depressing when I went to Monsoon at the weekend and didn't fit into 18 dresses. I had never bought 20 before so I didn't get anything at all. Sad

Hi there everyone. I was away in Greece for 2 weeks and didn't lose the way I'd been losing. I wasn't drinking enough water and was eating junk. The first week I was fine and I'm sure I lost but the second week I ate some chips, salad dressings, some ice creams, etc. I still lost over 4lbs during the trip, but that was my weekly weight loss goal, so I'm a bit behind.

I'm back again and will hopefully join the gym this week. Otherwise I'll start walking. I'll have to start slowly as I'm really out of shape. I'll start with a 10min fast walk followed by a 10min slow walk. If I can do that 4 days a week, it'll really help me!
Glad to see the rest of you doing well, too!
Keep up the good work!

Thanks, Iron!

I'm doing well and back in swing of things. I'm going to ask the doctor if he can up me to 15mg, I've been on 10mg so far. I think it might help me in general iwth the evening cravings.

I'll update my ticker on Monday morning when I weigh in. Weight loss is slowing but I've not been doing the exercise I need to do. It's purely my fault!

I'm just over a bad period and a tummy bug so I'm down to 84.5kg/185.9lbs and 13st 3.9lbs! Almost 20 down and 40 more to go after that!!

I'm thrilled, though I've still not dropped a significant amount in clothes sizes. I was an 18/20 and now I'm a 16/18 but I usually lose 1 dress size for every 10lbs so I would've expected to start to fit into some 14s but maybe it's because I haven't been shopping too much lately?

Boy, I've been away a long time. I was on holidays for 17 days! The first week was fine but the second week? Not so much.

I'm not sure of my weight as I have my period and I will weigh myself when it's over. If I stayed the same, I'll be thrilled!!
