Success |
|
|
Just wanted to share my results for those of you considering alli
I am 23 yrs old, 5'1 and weighed 201 at the beginning of the week, today, i weighed 193. So, that's 8 lbs lost this week.
I know that's a lot, pretty quickly, but I exercised and followed the calorie and fat restrictions. I ate out twice, and had oil in the toilet, but never soiled my pants or anything like others have experienced. However, I knew going into this that it was possible, and went to the toilet anytime I needed to pass gas just to be safe.
Good luck to everyone, I wish you all success. |

I was also looking for information about Alli.
Alli is not just a pill. It is an innovative weight loss program.
Alli promotes gradual, modest weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds a week. If you could lose 10 pounds through dieting, you could lose 15 with hard work and Alli. Results for each individual may vary...

I'm 23 5'8 and was 210 a week ago, my goal is to get to where my weight fluates in the 170's no matter what day I weigh myself on. I usually weigh about 5 to 7 lbs more on Sunday night than I do on Friday morning and then I loose 5 to 7 lbs between Sunday night and Friday morning. And the cycle continues. This morning I weighed 205 and I've told myself if I can hit 199.5 or less I will go on alli. Since the first lbs i loose are usually the hardest. I know I dont' have to loose all 30lbs on my own which is pretty overwhelming, I just have to loose the first 10.
For breakfast I've been eating Raisen Bran at 6:00am and make sure I eat just one serving, which is hard to eyeball with cerial and milk so I measure. For lunch I eat a Cambell's Chunky Soup that eats like a meal Healthy Request at about 11:00. Which fills me up, and I'm a big boy and it is only 240 calories for a whole can, which is two servings. And only has 5 grams of fat and 30 grams of Carbs. And then I eat a sinsable dinner about 5:30. I was tested recently for Diabites, only because, I am overweight, native american, and have a family history. I found I was no where close to being diabetic, my doctor did say everyone should be on almost a diabetic diet, eating low fat and low carb.
I just started exerciseing yesterday and did 20 minutes on an elipical and my goal is to work up to doing 45 minutes to an hour four to six days a week. I'll keep reading your post and will update mine as I loose more weight and start alli. |

Wow, I can't believe the people in here being critics. I am 2 weeks in and have lost 3 pounds so far. I know that doesn't sound like a lot, but hey, I am losing it. The treatment effects are finally getting better, though I have learned to stay away from all italian food. Lasagna, pizza, manicottis, none of them will do you any favors.
I am glad others are trying it and it seems to be working for those who actually try. Good luck to all. Will keep you posted. |

Alli |
|

I have only been taking Alli for a few days now because my dad started taking it and in a month he lost about 20 lbs. He has a very strict diet though and he has been working alot harder when it comes to not sitting around and watching the TV all day. He has leveled out for now and is only losing about a pound a week and is starting to exercise more. In the few days I have been taking it, I have lost one or two pounds myself. The kind of diet me and my family are eating is usually an english muffin with "I can't believe it's not butter" spray which has no fat and taste just like butter. For lunch we eat a sandwich, bag of pretzels, and I bring a few gronola bars for little snacks here and there. Dinner you have to be creative or it will get boring very fast. My mom pretty much sticks to Pork Roast or grilled/baked chicken. She adds little things here and there to make it a little better and not so monotonous like sautred peppers and mushrooms, and rice is a good side for most meals or just a vegetable. |

I am HAPPY with my results so far.
I am 5'7 and weighed 255.3lbs 3 days ago and now weigh 250lbs.
I have not yet experienced any side effects on Alli.
I feel more healthy than I was before and I don't feel tired as much either.
In fact, I feel more energetic. I do a lot more exercises in a day that would equal to one week worth of exercise before.
I hope you all will see results as fast as I did. |

Update |

I last posted on 04/22/2008
Well I hit 199.5 on Monday and have weighed that exactly for the 4 mornings since. Today I started alli at breakfast with my Raisen Bran. I have also switched from soup for lunch to a Lean Cousine or a Healthy Choice Steamer and then have something that is good for me for diner.
I work out on the eliptical pretty regularly, to make sure I don't feel band if I skip a day I add the last six days plus today for the time I was on the eliptical and devide by six and try to keep my average over 60 minutes. So over the seven workouts the sum of my minutes worked should be over 360. I have found that I burn about 10 calories a minute on it so that is 3,600 calories, so I ought to loose at least a pound a week from exercise.
I keep to about a 1400 calorie a day average for my calories that I eat. I found a formula online that said that I need about 2,300 calories to maintain my weight so for a weekly deficit of 6,300 calories that is almost two pounds a week from diet.
Not only am I starting alli today, I am also going to start doing weight training so that I can help raise my matabolism and my musles will be burnging calories days after my workout.
10 pounds down, 20 more pounds to go. I'll update in a week with my results.
Good luck everybody. |

| Mother's Day is coming up and of course there is always a BBQ to go to. I'm sure I will have more than 15g of fat, should I just not take any pills that day or just take one?? Who has experimented with eating more then 15g but not pigging out??? |

I just go online and google whatever it is I want to eat + nutritional information. This weekend I found out a slice of Marie Calanders Apple pie that I normally wouldn't think twice about eating has over 800 calories and 49 grams of fat.
I didn't tell my in-laws that were eating it for two reasons, one is I didn't want to spoil their fun, and two is the bigger they get the smaller I will look. LOL It's things like this that make me realize how I got as big as I did, I just wasn't consious of what I was putting into my body.
UPDATE: I started alli on last Thursday morning and weighed 199.5 where I had hit my weight loss floor. Today, four days latter I weighed 196.0 and feeling great and I have had no side effects and neither has my wife, but we usually eat less than 10 grams of fat at each meal. Good luck to everyone. |

So it has been a week since I started alli, and I've gone from 199.5 to 194.5. I have cut my eliptical time down from 360 minutes ber week to 270 minutes per week. I have found that I can go twice or three times longer if I have a fan pointed at me that without a fan pointed at me. Watching shows on the DVR doesn't hurt either, since it keeps me distracted from doing exercise.
I was also eating a half a banana in my cerial in the morning which was about 100 calories, but I stoped eating the banana and at night I eat 8 cups popped (1/4cup unpoped) air pop popcorn which has about 120 calories with "I can't believe it's not butter" spray. That is a good sized 120 calorie snack. At night I have started taking 500mg of Vitamen C along with my multivitamen. I have not had any side affects. So far I only have good things to say about alli. 15 lbs down (10 diet change and exercise then 5 since I have been on alli) 15lbs to go.
Good luck everyone. |
