I know what helps me is having somewhere to report to, or a buddy to report back to each week. When I saw Dr. Anchors last week he told me to weigh myself EVERYDAY. He says that if you do that it will help you to not make bad choices because you know you are going to weigh yourself in the morning. And for me that has worked!! I got home really late last night from a rehearsal, and I wasnt hungry but my phen had worn off, and I definitely wanted some icecream, which is my downfall. But what stopped me was the fact that I was going to weigh myself in the morning! But I need a place to document my weight, so I hope you all dont mind! I wont put it on here everyday, but maybe every couple days, and hopefully some of you will too! It will help keep me motivated!
I chose the beach for my ticker because I am going to the beach in August, and I really want to wear a bathing suit - I am going for my birthday actually so this is my birthday present to myself!!

I am kind of frustrated because on sunday I had gone down one more pound, but since then I have stayed exactly the same. It is "that time of the month" and I am wondering if that is why. I always put on a few extra lbs - I guess its water weight? And I am annoyed because I have been craving salt and chocolate (even with the phentermine) and I have been really hungry in the afternoon - I think its just because its that time, but its still frustrating. I am still eating healthy no matter how much I am craving bad stuff right now. So I really hope that after this week that goes away!! ( or i might start thinking the phentermine isnt working anymore!) Does anyone else have this problem? I really hope in a few days I stop craving and the weight starts coming off again!

I am almost through with my period and on Day one of it, I noticed that even on the phen, I still was hungrier than usual and some cravings, but the phen helped enough to where I didn't give into any temptations.

My weight loss for this week was 3 pounds.

I also get very hungry and crave lots of sweets and salty things right before I start and yes, even on the Phen/Pro. However, the day I start it does go away. I was getting depressed because I lost so much the first week I started the Phen/Pro and then didn't lose but a pound the second week and I wasn't eating much that's for sure. So I decided not to weigh until the month was up and that worked so much better. I might not lose as much one week vs. the next week or whatever. So instead of being depressed I started weighing on the first Thursday after my period is over. This has made a huge difference for me. Now it doesn't matter if I lost 3 lbs or 8 lbs, it's the fact I LOST something and that puts a smile on my face and encourages me to keep it up because I am losing!!!! Of course I know this won't work for everyone, but I need results most of all and this gives me a month, so if I screw up it's okay, I can still work hard knowing my weigh in will be coming.

wgsdrock, keep in mind that because you have a lot less to lose than a lot of us here, you might lose a little bit more slowly (I wish I could say that! Wink). And, try eating mini meals to keep your metabolism going even if you aren't hungry on the phen. You don't want your metabolism to slow down and then your body holding onto every morsel of food that you eat.

I am getting so frustrated because I have really done well this week with eating, and I lost like 1 lb. Last week I lost about 11 lbs or something and then this week almost nothing! Well it wont be a week til tomorrow. I am hoping that its just because it is that time of the month and when that ends I will drop a few. But its frustrating! I hope the phentermine hasnt stopped working. I will post my ticker tomorrow, even if it is depressing! Anyone have any advice?

My official weigh in is on Monday morning but yesterday, I got on the scale just see if I had made any progress, and I gained a pound. Weird. I've been eating well, too. Could just be a fluctuation of water retention. Keeping my fingers crossed that I lose something. It's kind of depressing to have a small loss after having a huge one.

I know thats how i feel! I lost like 11 lbs or so in the first week and now like 1 or 2!! Oh well, I think I really need to drink more water too, and also work out this week. That will probably really help. Its probably the same for you too, I think your weight really changes because of water retention everyday, so I am sure that 1 lb is just water. That happened to me, and then that day I drank a ton of water and the next day I was down 2 lbs!

As long as I steadily lose, two pounds per week is fine with me. I have to admit that I have been slacking with respect to working out so I am going to the gym to 45-60 min. of cardio when I get home from work and then tomorrow morning, I am supposed to be getting up at 0430 to go to the gym with a girlfriend of mine before work.

Lord, help me! I do not like getting up before the sun is up! But, I want to get into the habit of knocking out my workouts in the morning so its done. No errands to get in the way, no excuses of being drained from work, and no last minute school projects that my child knew about a month ago to get in the way. Wink

Well I weighed myself this morning and I lost one more lb!! Dr. Anchors told me to weigh myself everyday because if I know I am going to weigh myself in the morning, then I will keep myself in check - and that has actually worked for me!! And I have to remind myself that I may not lose anything for a few days but then I will after that, so I cant get frustrated. But I was really happy this morning when it said I lost one more!!
I have been slacking on working out too- I am going to make myself get up tomorrow and get on my treadmill. Once I am up and on it, I feel really good, its just the getting up part! And if I dont do it in the morning, then I dont do it at all because I teach in the evenings and I get home too late and I am pooped!
