If you stay consistent with your exercise and continue to eat right, you will have great success. You're losing at a nice rate - you're averaging about 4 pounds per week! That's better than the average weight loss. Keep up the good work!
Even though I am seeing Dr A for, hello!, weight loss, I would love to make it down to 210 by the 27th. Then with the help of his phen-pro cocktail and his book, I'll be doing the countdown to Onederland! I'm so obsessive compulsive........ |
Thank you! I am trying - I am determined to get back to a healthier weight and stay there! Its hard, but when I see I have lost weight it gives me a boost! And getting encouragement from here! |

Weekly Weigh-in 5/19 |
|
|
My weight loss for the week is one pound...even with working out last week. But, I have an idea what might have slowed down my loss. I haven't been eating enough - I try to eat 5 to 6 mini meals per day and I have been getting in like 3 per day (keep in mind, these are MINI). Then on top of that, I am burning calories from working out. My body was probably like, "Whoa, bish!" Also, I haven't been drinking much water lately despite working out. I am rushing out the door to go to the gym in the mornings but instead of water, I am grabbing coffee!
At least I know what I have to tweak to make my losses better.
Also, "chubbie_love" on another thread in these forums suggested using www.sparkpeople.com for tracking weight loss goals, fitness goals and nutritional goals and it even tracks water intake.
I just signed up and I am actually kind of excited to drink my water so I can change the little ticker on page!

| Good for you on your loss! I am going to check that site out! I feel like when I track it like that I will pay more attention to what I do! Well last week (thru saturday) I lost a little over 3 lbs. And from yesterday to today, I lost another 1.8 lbs! But yesterday I was helping a friend move ALL DAY - I mean for over 8 hours lifting furniture etc, so I got my work out!! My pants are getting to the point where I dont like how they look on my because they are too baggy! YAY! |

You did awesome this week!
I was wearing pants on Friday to work that looked as if I dropped a load in the back - it's time to retire those pants!
I am feeling pretty motivated about SparkPeople and tracking everything that I am doing. I assumed that I was doing okay last week but the fact of the matter is, I wasn't. |

Keep'em til you can't keep'em on!
Psyche!
Fortunately, I have some 14s....after that, I am going to have to go shopping. Not that I would mind too much. I'm actually wearing a pair of size 14 slacks now. |

| I kept a bunch of my clothes from when I was a lot skinnier, so I hope one day I can wear them again!! I had some size 12 express jeans and I can finally wear them again! I am so happy about that. I wonder where I will be in a month! This is so exciting! |

Thanks! Not as much as I was hoping for but at least I lost.
I had clothes smaller than a 14 but gave them away because they were out of style (circa 1990's).
When I am skinny again, it will be way more fun buying clothes.
You know I forgot all about taking my measurements last night - I'll try to remember when I get home. I certainly feel like I look thinner and my clothes are loose. |

| You know what is horrible? When I see something cute, I always get it in the size that I know I want to be ( and that I can be) Like a 9 or something, and so over the past like 2 years, I have gotten so much clothing! But it is so much more fun to do it when you are skinny, so I cant wait, because I love clothes! |

| I am sure that you are one of thousands of women that do that! Me, I'm just the opposite. I refuse to buy anything other than sweats til I get to goal - or at least until my clothes are literally falling off my body. I look at buying clothes as waste of money while I am fat/losing weight. I am trying to get out of that mindset because by mid-summer or so, I have a feeling that I am going to have to start buying more clothes. |

today is my weigh in and I am down to 211.6 - a 3 pound loss this week. I was aiming to be down to 210 by today but I had a small loss last week for whatever reason, but I'll take 211.6! I've been eating pretty good - yesterday was really the only time I had some junk - I drank two Bud Lights and had a small handful of peanuts at the Nationals game yesterday. Maybe I burned the icky calories off by running up and down the steps to our seats (we were a couple rows behind the visitors dugout - kind of a hike!) and making the trek to and from our car. Honestly, even though it smelled great, I wasn't even tempted by the food there. Not even by the italian sausage and peppers - one of my favs! I'm going to my neighbors' house tomorrow for a cookout but I have gone to cookouts since being on my diet and I have done okay. I'll just save an allowance for a glass of wine or two and have a burger without the bun and some veggies and I'll be okay. This past week, I only worked out once but I was super busy with two convalescing kitties - I had both of them spayed on Thursday. Then there was the bird debacle - I had a house finch fly into my house, got stunned, caught her, caged her, and then set her free again the next day. Just call me Dr. Doolittle! LOL! I'm like Ace Ventura in the scene where he stretches his arms out and bellows and all the animals come out of hiding and flock to him! LOL!
I see Dr. Anchors tomorrow morning - I am so excited!
Goals for the upcoming week: work out more and drink more water! I was reading my Muscle and Fitness Hers and I may try their 4 week beginner workouts. I'm not feeling the Body Pump classes because I always end up getting there late and I am kind of bored with them.
Violingirl, you are losing fast! Keep it up! How's the phen-pro combo working for you? |

Well, my first week is over. Sadly, I only lost 1.4. I guess something is better than nothing. Way to go for everyone that checked in. Keep it going, I need all the motivation I can get. At this rate, it could be sometime before I get to my goal weight. |
