I think if its based on natural foods, in whatever combination, and not chemical based like all the pills available,(that also claim to b natural), AND ppl on here have found it has worked, then leave them alone, its their money.
For those who are disgruntled then personally take the matter further, but don't lump everybody together.
I haven't tried the diet yet, but may well do, and that's my choice i don't need someone pointing out the obvious!
We all know deep down that it is not the best solution, but thats OUR choice.

| I'm planning starting the diet on Monday. I went to the store to buy all the items on Thursday. I'm having a problem finding the tomatoe juice without any salt in it. Anyone else having this problem? |

Started 18in4 Yesterday |
|
|
Hi all,
I'm a teacher in Miami, FL. I bought the 18in4 plan from James' website on Thursday and began it yesterday, on Saturday. I have a tendency to yo-yo diet and I needed something to get me on a jump-start back on the right track. Over the past two years I've lost approximately 80 pounds (Physician's Weightloss, exercise, South Beach). I'm ready to give this a shot! I'll update over the next four days!
First impressions: Many people have commented on the fact that this plan simply helps you decrease water weight. That could be true, but it sure it nice to feel comfy in my favorite jeans, even if that means just losing 2lbs of water!
All the foods are easy to prepare. I use TONS of sodium-free herbs and spices, which makes it a breeze to deal with.
I am currently in my second day. I am definitely hungry, but I can already see changes in my body, so I'm going to try and stick with it!
Day 1: 178
Day 2: 175
Will keep you posted! |

Well, I'm "technically" on my third day, though I'm about to eat some Taco Bell right now. It's not a scam in terms of if the plan exists. Yes, it does exist. I followed it faithfully for two days and lost 4 pounds. I also felt light-headed, tired, sickly hungry, and was going to the restroom about every 20 minutes, no joke. So, yes, it exists, but it's terribly unhealthy for your body and extremely hard to stick to.
I've had a lot of success with Physican's Weight Loss and also just watching what I eat (very little carbs) and incresing my exercise (though results are very slow). I guess we just get really excited at the thought of a super quick, super easy solution. The fact is, for most people, you didn't put the weight ON in four day, so it's not all going to come OFF in four days (or thiry or fifty, for that matter.
Hope that helps. |

Hello i did the plan and it does work, i am not a representative of James, i have dieted for years and found something that works everyone has something different that works for them, im sorry for those who it does not work for but if you plan on giving James a hard time over this plan, then why not Atkins, Weight Watchers i've tried them and it didn't work for me but it has for others, so why not spend your energy on some cause that actually needs it, people diet all the time and will continue to do so, this plan gave me discipline to realise that i can control what i eat so i say thank you to James, its all in the mind if i want the taste of chocolate i have a taste not the whole bar...finally after 18 years of needing to loose about 20 pounds its finally arrived...

18in4 diet |
|

Hello Gents and especially Ladies,
I have tried the diet. It works even when you don't follow it exactly. Not sure it was worth the price. By not following exactly you won't lose as much weight as Zeta claims. I have never lost 18 in 4, but I can't stand certain foods. I have to say that without Phentermine and Lasix I wouldn't have had the results I have had. I have lost 47 lbs ... which took me 6 months. I only crave sweets once in a while but salt is another thing. This diet has helped. Not as much as I wish it could have. I have done it 4 on -- 3 off --4 on then 2 weeks off. You could probably get the same results doing low carb (atkins or the like) and eating lots of tomatoes and drinking grapefruit juice before every meal. Stay away from sweets, use herbal cleanse products, and appetite suppressants. I am 38 have just had a baby 1 year ago and a very difficult pregnancy.... Ladies, you know how hard it is for us to lose weight!! I also like Lipozene which you can buy at Wal-Mart. There is also a 3 day diet that is used by hospitals for heart patients who need to lose before surgery. That one is alot of plain tuna but 10 lbs in 3 days.
Believe me I have an incredible stack of diet pills and plans I have tried. I have an entire cabinet of diet pills I tried to no avail. Hope this helps. |

I just started this diet yesterday with my daughter. We both thought the food sounded bad, but actually was filling and tasted fine. We did not feel overly hungry except right before meal times which is how it should be. I did stay up a little too late last night (till 1AM) and got a little hungry. But as soon as I drank the before bed water I felt full, and easily fell asleep.
This morning I woke up, and I could immediately feel the results. I had dramatic loss in my mid-section which is where my weight has been accumulating lately. I went and weighed myself and I had lost 5lbs overnight! I was even able to fit into a skirt of my daughters that I could not get zipped in almost a year. My daughter lost almost 7lbs.
I know that it is mostly water, but we look and feel better so I don't really care. We are actually doing this because we are going on a trip to NYC next week. We recently started an exercise program together so this is just a nice way to get motivated to keep up healthier eating habits. I love that it is only a 4 day plan, because anyone can do something for 4 days.
I would absolutely recommend this diet.
FYI: After reading most of this thread I saw someone mention another diet that looks like it is the same thing that is only $8.95 instead of $27.00. The other diet is called the 4 day chemical reaction diet. I did not purchase this plan so I cannot tell you if it is exactly the same, but the foods mentioned sound the same. It only claims that you will lose 10lbs in 4 days which I believe is more typical of the 18 in 4 also.
Good Luck!!! |
