I am so disappointed. We finally found a dr who will help us and someone is going to shoot it straight to hell if they are not careful! There is no way anything can happen to anyone. A medical doctor wrote you a legitimate prescription for a real medicine that works. Don't listen to anyone that says this is illegal. We all need to support him. I responded immediately with a long letter of gratitude, appreciation, and support, and every single one of you that have been helped by the dr. needs to write a supportive letter right now! If we don't stand up for what's right, then we may end up like we were before we discovered him, fruitlessly searching the internet for what we know works, but cannot afford or find. Please don't ruin this for us. Shame on the people that complained because they didn't get their meds in 3 days. You know you've waited more than 6 weeks from some online sources. One last thing... get off the internet! Quit talking about it in front of the world!! It's forums like this that have done the most damage. Call someone on the phone, write about it in a journal, talk about it over coffee, but stop announcing it to the world! Someone is always going to want to destroy someone else' good fortune.

I dont go through Dr. B but have been reading all of this information about what is going on and I just wanted to give my 2 cents.
Everyone just relax. As other people have said, NO individual here is in danger of any sort of "crack down" if they've gone through Dr. B.

If anything were to happen, unfortunatley it would affect Dr. B and, in turn, all of you guys who have used him.

I went to the FDA website to check out a few things.
Here's some info that I'll copy and paste which directly pertains to what Dr. B is doing. I think all the letters everyone is sending is good idea.
I guess what happens from here will be up to the authorities in texas, as it sounds like dr. B is getting some local heat. I hope it turns out for the best for everyone involved.

7. Some Websites offer to prescribe medication based only on a questionnaire. Is this a safe practice? Is it legal?

Unlike the traditional relationship between a patient and the patient's health care professional, some online practitioners issue prescriptions in the absence of a physical examination or direct medical supervision. According to the American Medical Association, a health care professional who offers a prescription for a patient the practitioner has never seen before and based solely on an online questionnaire generally has not met the appropriate medical standard of care. As a result, patients may receive a drug that is inappropriate for them to use and may sacrifice the opportunity for a correct diagnosis or the identification of an underlying medical condition for which use of the prescription drug may be dangerous.

It is a violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to dispense prescription drugs without a valid prescription. FDA will work with the states to determine the validity of online prescriptions and to bring enforcement actions under state law, federal law, or both, as appropriate. In addition, several state boards of medicine have ruled that such practice is medical misconduct and have fined and suspended the licenses of health care practitioners who have prescribed drugs in this manner.

Several states have taken or are contemplating taking action against illegitimate online sellers of prescription drugs. Fourteen states (Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, Kansas, Nevada, New Jersey, Ohio, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming) have already taken some action against physicians prescribing drugs over the Internet. Although most of these cases involve cease and desist orders, some states have assessed fines and are contemplating stiffer penalties. One state has issued a temporary restraining order against an Internet pharmacy selling drugs without a valid prescription.

So Right now it seems as though FDA and local authorities are going after the sources and not the people who go through the source.

Hey everyone, I never post here much but just wanted to share how sorry I am for all of you and Dr Branch, and myself included. I have been going through Dr. B. since December 07 and have lost 55 lbs. I don't know what I am going to do now- D.C. doctors are horrible about prescribing phen, and the ones that do are so cost prohibitive I simply cannot afford it.

I have about half a script left. I did not hesitate for a second to write a letter to Dr. Branch when he asked for support - and if the DEA wants to throw me in jail, then there is nothing I can do about it.

As far as other options, I have also in the past tried another source that I felt much less comfortable with - not because I didn't get good follow through and not because the phen didn't arrive; it was because I was unsure of the quality. And truthfully, the pills are simply not the same as the prescription ones filled at a pharmacy. I am not knocking Y, it is just my personal experience - I was afraid to continue taking what I got because it really was not the same quality as pharmacy-obtained phentermine.

Anyway, I wish all of you only the best and continued success, and thank you, Dr. Branch.
And as far as P.W.? All I can say is "Karma, meet Bitch".

I too am a patient of Dr. Branch and I am very concerned about where I will get my diet pills. However, I did a search on the address, on the last email I received, and this is what I found. Does anyone know anything about this?

It's hilarious how i've been painted as a psycho for replying how I did.... Some bitch calls me a FRAUD?!?! She says I did a bunch of shady stuff and then you have the audacity to say that for me replying the way I did I have something wrong with me? Mentally? Umm you better check yourself if thats what you think.

I was right about Dr. B and from the looks of the last e-mail I just received The US Government agrees im right. MY PROBLEM WITH DR B STEMS FROM THE FACT THAT HE KNEW HE WAS DOING SOMETHING ILLEGAL AND HE WAS TELLING HIS PATIENTS IT WAS LEGAL. THIS IS WHERE MY PROBLEM COMES IN WITH THIS DOCTORS ETHICS.

Just because your a crackhead and need Phentermine just to make it thru the day doesn't mean you should be getting angry at me because you can't get your fix anymore.

Again, say what you like about me. Say im a do-gooder. You dont know me. You are sad, and alone. If the only thing that can save you is PHENTERMINE then oh my god may god help you.

I understand your anger. No more drugs. I'd be pissed too...

I haven't even been on phen for the last bit and I feel great. I stopped using it and I only exercise now. One hour every day. You should try it.

Wow, I was about to apologize to PW and say that it appears I was wrong and then I read the new entries. Why so hateful? I am quite sure the vast majority of people on this board can make it through the day without phentermine - but why should they have to?

I am still looking at the bigger picture. I think online consultations with doctors are a valuable tool that should not be outlawed and not be limited by diagnosis or prescription. It makes medical care more accessible for those who live far from physicians, those lacking transportation, and those who can't get to the doctor without outside assistance (be it a babysitter or a disability aide). Yes, people can lie - but they can also lie to the doctor in person. I have heard of people using another's ID to appear 18, I have a friend who put rolls of quarters in her pocket to make one doctor's weight cut-off for phentermine, and people exaggerate a sprained ankle for painkillers. At some point, we should hold ourselves and each other responsible for our own behavior. It is a shame the DEA thinks it must choose our health care options for us, just to prevent the abuse of a few. I don't agree, and I am going to let the DEA and my state and federal representatives know.

On a lighter note, I don't think any of you are bitches, crackheads, or any of the other names that have been floating around.

PW - You're in such a rush to call people names and get completely defensive (which is VERY suspicious...guilty conscience, perhaps? Hmm...) In any case, no one called YOU a fraud. Someone asked why you signed up w/ Dr. B's site if you thought HE was a fraud.

And, if you believe I called you a fraud...then you're wrong again. I said Scat was guilty of (attempted) credit card fraud. However, since you claim not to be her, why are you so bent? A simple, "Hey, Sweet Cheeks, I'm not Scat, but thanks for playing!" would have sufficed.

You know what they say, "Me doth think the lady protests too much!"
