| Let us know how it goes. I don't know if I want to spend that much money on appointments and then still pay for cookies too. |

At least you know you'll get real cookies, plus it's still cheaper than the price lists I've seen listed on here. That's awesome! Someone else on here mentioned going to a clinic also.
Do you know if the place you're going to requires patients to be a certain bmi |

I just asked her if I would qualify being 5'3 and 160 lbs and she said yes, you have to be at least 30 lbs overweight. They also give B6 ane B12 shots |

Kimmie--you are exactly my same stats for height and weight. What kind of clinics are you looking at? I want the real stuff! I could use my flex spending to cover actual prescriptions. Yeah! |

I just looked in my phone book under weight management or weight control. Look online in your area too it should bring something up. My friend in Hawaii told me about it. She goes to a clinic there. |

I've unfortunately put too many pounds on lately and decided to try cookies again. I've been ripped off in the past, but a friend of mine received a phone call last week asking if she'd like a refill, she said yes, and received them yesterday.. I was stunned that they actually came thru. I tried to get the contact info, but the number was disconnected.
In the mean time I decided to go back to my old weight loss doc. The visit was $78 and 6 weeks worth of cookies were $42. I'd prefer to get them over the net and not have to drive 60 miles, but I'm glad I can.
Does anyone use cookies that does endurance type exercising? I've taken up cycling and I'm concerned about elevating my heart rate too much.
cheers |

Warning: Rant/Hissy Fit follows...
I'm so pissed! If a person's GP or PCP won't or doesn't want to prescribe phen for a patient that is legitimately overweight, what the hell do they expect us/them to do?!?!
Why is it necessary to fork out $245 for ONE office visit at an obesity clinic, much less $145 for EACH follow up visit?! Talk about taking advantage of someone's vulnerability and desperation — that's effing robbery, plain and simple.
How 'bout for some of us who don't even have the "luxury" (sarcasm, folks) of having an obesity clinic anywhere within a commutable distance? I don't quite live in the Sticks, but neither am I near a big city. No fat clinics around here for HUNDREDS of miles...
Lastly, WHY oh WHY are radical operations such as the gastric bypass so often signed off on by these same gp's who resist prescribing diet meds? How many people die on the table during those operations? Ok, now how many die from taking phen, hmm?! Why can't/won't the bariatric doctor prescribe them, then?
/End rant/
PS - Phew, my blood pressure is so high right now, I could have a stroke...but not to worry. I'll just run down to the corner and score some benzos off the 15-year-old drug dealer who hangs out there every night. Thanks, DEA, for saving me from the DANGEROUS Phentermine pushers out there! Job well done, guys

I don't understand the logic either. There is an epidemic of obesity and yet if you are trying to NOT become obese, it is difficult to find help.
A friend of mine is a nurse who has about 15 lbs to lose. I told her about cookies and she's had great success w/ them, but she can't gt a refill. She went to several local docs who refused to prescribe. They said she wasn't heavy enough. Maybe when she's really obese, then they'll prescribe. Why should we become unhealthy when realistic help is available now? So we go to forums and try to gt help so that we won't be ripped off or get fake stuff.
The doc that I went to today actually apologized that he had to charge me so much. Problem: he is going to retire in the next year and then what? |

Hi,
I went to my doctor/doctors. I am 30 lbs overweight and not one doctor would help me with anything for my LARGE appetite. But they all mentioned that diet and exercise would be good. YUK

I agree with you all here. It's pretty sad that so many people get the gastric bypass surgery for being over weight yet when we want to take some medication to help us curve our appetite and give us energy to eat less and work out we can't get it. I don't agree with that at all. So, if I gain 100 lbs then I can get some surgery to be skinny again?? I'm not bashing people who have had the surgery but in all honesty I dont think it's fare at all. I honestly don't have the energy to work out everyday and I am always hungry, and it sucks! When I was taking the cookies I lost all the weight I wanted I was working out daily (seriously I ran like 5 miles a day!) it was awesome. I just wish I could get that energy back and be that again. I never planned on gaining the weight back but I had another baby and we all know what babies do to ya! And my husband doesn't support me going to this clinic at all! He thinks it's a waste of money is, he also says work out and eat healthy, he has no friggen clue how it feels to be overweight, with him being in the military he HAS to work out everyday, he goes to the gym daily and lifts weights, he doesn't have to take care of kids all day and then try to squeeze time in to work out, he thinks I should wake up before the kids get up and work out, COME ON! UGH it's so stressful . |

Hi FLGIRL. I started working out with a trainer a few weeks before I started eating cookies. I began with 4 sessions a week and now am down to 3 sessions a week. I also do at least one extra day by myself of cardio only. My bp is fine and haven't had any heart rate issues, but I've never had those issues in the past either. If you haven't either, you will probably be fine.
I'm no doctor so this is only my opinion based on my situation, but you can do strenuous activity while eating cookies and be fine. One thing tho - I do my workouts in the morning before work so I don't eat my cookies until a couple of hours later. I've never eaten one right before my workout because my trainer kicks my butt so hard I didn't want to add anything to my system before hand other than an energy drink and a protein bar.
Sorry for the long rambling! I hope that was helpful and not TOO long-winded. |
