I was wondering the same thing. I took Xenical about 6 yrs. ago..and with it I lost alot of ab flab. I went from a sz 13 to a 6 in about a year. Can anyone else answer this because I would also like to know. Thanks =)

Alli contains the same active ingredient as Xenical, but it is a lower dose. The active ingredient in Alli is orlistat. It works by inhibiting lipase and thus prevent fat absorption in the gut. If Xenical worked for you, Alli should work as well since it is the same drug at a lower dose. While fat distributes throughout your body, it is more prominent in certain areas such as your hips and mid-section. So if you were able to tolerate the embarassing side effects of orlistat (or did not experience any), then I think it would be a good option for you.
