Thank you maggie and wildside for the responses. I didn't know that the 30mg's were extended release. I should probably try those out... but the smaller mg worries me that they won't be as effective... 
But this post gives me new hope! The 37.5's have been wearing off in the evening lately and like many people, that's when I need the phen to work the most! |

I have used both.I got the 37.5 from Dr.B and they did not work NEARLY as well for me....I could lay down and take a nap after taking them and I was HUNGRY.
These are so much better for me.I hope they do the same for you! |

I felt the same way with the 37.5. I could take a nap right after taking it! I just thought I had a bad batch or I had built a tolerance to it. Thanks for the info. I'm going to order the blue 30's tomorrow! I can't wait & will keep you all updated! |

when you say "blue 30 mg's" are you referring to the 30 mg capsules...the ones that cannot be split (Eon Labs, I believe)? Just want to make sure I'm clear on what everyone is talking about.
I took those forever ago and now that you mention it, I may have to agree. I just never thought about it. I've been taking the A-159's for the past several rx's and they just aren't doing the job energy wise. |

yes that is exactly the problem i was having, i was fine all day and then BAM around dinnertime, I had no selfcontrol whatsoever, I could eat an entire cake around that time, its like the phen completely wears off or something. now, when I say the 30 are stronger, I dont mean more energy, you;d probably experience the same energy maybe a little less than the 37.5 (less speedy) but they do last longer.
and there is duromine which is different-- for me i have found that it has absolutely no energy help whatsoever, but it helps all day with appetite contron, sometimes i will take one of those half way thru the day just for that appetite control.
OH AND SUGAR---my blue/clears are the A173 I didnt remember if you said what your were? let me know. |

I don't know what lab it is...mine say K28 on them.
They are the blue and white capsules,and cannot be split...unless you would buy empty capsules and divide them? |

I agree on the Duromine 100% - no energy boost, but they last all day.
My blue/clears are by Eon Labs and are marked E5000. Got them from the local pharmacy, but my doctor limited me to a 7-day supply. He wants me to pay $50 to see him every week and to write the script. Can't afford to keep that up since when all was said and done, I'd be paying $65 per week ($260 a month?! Yikes!!!) , so I'm hoping to hear that someone got the same type from either yguy, Chen, or the site that shall not be named...Anyone, Bueller?

and P.S. i spent a couple of hours trying to find that info about the difference between the 30 and 37.5-- no go, but I will keep looking.
Its not just that the 37.5 has 7.5 more phentermine, from what i remember they actually both have 30 mg of the phen, the 37.5 has 7.5 of something else in it, but please DONT TAKE THIS AS FACT, im just trying to go from memory, if any knows please let me know but i will keep looking for the info, it was very interesting. |

Hi everyone,
I have been following this thread and have also been intrigued. I have never used anything but the 37.5. I hope this text I found below helps a little! I am also looking around to educate myself on the different types. If I find anyting else I will post it.
"The yellow phentermine 30mg capsules and the blue Phentermine 30 mg capsules act the same. Blue Phentermine and Yellow Phentermine both have the same active ingredient (i.e. Phentermine Hydrochloride).
Both of these capsules are manufactured by Sandoz (formerly by Eon Labs). The blue/white version is a generic for Fastin and the yellow is just a generic phentermine. The ingredients are the same. The only real differences are the aspect (color and powder vs. little pellets) and the price.
Please note that the yellow capsules are not a generic equivalent for Ionamin. There is no generic equivalent for Ionamin, which is the time released resin form of Phentermine.
As for the 15 mg capsules, they are simply a lower dosage form of Phentermine that is manufactured by Sandoz (formerly by Eon Labs).
The 37.5 mg Phentermine is a generic for Adipex-P that is manufactured by Purepac. The only difference between the brand name (Adipex-P, manufactured by Gate Pharma) and the generic is price.
