Hi,

I am not on phen currently (trying to find it though) but have a question. Many years ago I did develop a tolerance rather quickly. I remember reading you should not drink coffee or caffeine, as the caffeine would speed up the rate the phen is excreted from the body. Has anyone found that to be true? Or do you drink coffee and still feel the hunger management? What other things do you do to hep with the tolerance issue? Thanks.

I have heard and read the same thing about caffeine causing premature excretion of phen. From experience, I would say it is true (but whether that is the power of suggestion or not, I can't say for sure).

I take breaks every few days to try and avert tolerance. However, that only helps so much. Due to our bodies' unique ability to adjust to almost any type of condition, there's not much you can do to stave off tolerance.

I did not know this. I just started Phen and do not drink coffee. It's only been 1.5 weeks and I already feel it working less. I started with 1/2 the pill and now I'm taking the entire pill. It still works, but just not as much.

Yeah, it's a bummer. The body adjusts pretty quickly to stimulants as opposed to other types of drugs/medications. I am not equating Phen to narcotics, but it's similar in principal in that you need to take more and more to get the same appetite-suppressing results.

Yes coffee definitely contributes to the phen effects but the longer you take it your body will allow you to have coffee and not get speedy!! I drink caffeine all day! Just be careful not to drink too much late in the day--sleep will be impossible!

I've never had a problem with phen/caffeine keeping me up but thats probably because I have caffeine sooo much that my body adjusted. I did find that the phen didn't work as well when I drank diet soda, so I totally cut out all soda from my diet the first couple weeks of taking phen. Not only did it help, but I lost ALOT the first couple weeks I was on phen.

I take Phen and drink lots of coffee......I usually drink close to a pot a coffee in the mornings (from about 5:30 till 9am) Then, I take my Phen around 10:30......Then, I have more coffee in the evenings.....Usually somewhere around 6pm.....about 3 cups. The evening coffee is wonderful, because usually, I am pretty hungry by this time, sweets are my weekness, and by this time of day, I can literally hear the cookies in the cabinet screaming my name!!!!!! I make my coffee with splenda and fat free vanilla creamer......this not only takes care of my sweet tooth (and shuts those cookies up), but it also supresses my appetite for the remainder of the evening. So, the coffee and phen together don't have an adverse affect on me, but everyone is different!!!!!!
