Snowhoney's Before and After |
|
|
Hello Everyone,
I am Snowhoney (user ID ..of course) and I'm excited to be a part of this site, Weight Loss Forums. All the comments and also the threads about who, what, where & how is really inspiring.
So much so that I want to continue with the program that I found that works for me and . .to share with others about it. . .and to show my Before and After Photos.
When 2 of my sisters and a brother all died from 'heart attacks'...congestive heart diseases...& stroke. This really opened my decision to become healthier and to lose weight. Heart problems comes from my Father's side...he also died of a 'heart attack'. Mom had several strokes..is a diabetic, High blood pressures, etc, thankfully she's still alive.
I went to Medical Weight Loss.in Feb. 2003 .though at the time I did not have any health issues...but I was overweight...and surly..would develop some type of health problem if i continued eating as I did...and being overweight.
Along with their plan for me, I exercised doing a "Get Up & Dance" Aerobics Work-Out by Paula Abdul , "Ellipitical Trainer" (simulates running), I Walk up 25 flights of stairs (at work) & a Strength Training Video called "Fat to Firm in 20 mins. by Prevention Magazine...PLUS... 64 - 72 oz of water A DAY. . all done at home (except for the stairs)
After I couldn't afford to continue with their program...I found a appetite suppressant which help me a great deal. Today...I basically exercise, nutritious meals (sweets also ) and exercise. Every now and then I'll take a appetite suppressant..hey...it helps!!!
I am 5 feet tall...and was 175 pounds in 2003. It took me approx. 1 year and 2 months to reach 120 pounds my lowest weight. But I felt that was too small...so I gained 10 pounds to maintain. I stay between 128 and 135, though I'm more comfortable at 128 pounds.
Here are my pictures of the before and after.
My starting weight 175 pounds
Here I am at 145 pounds
This one is actually at 120 pounds
Here I am at 130 pounds

I want to thank you all for your comments. It wasn't easy getting to my desired weight. . .matter of fact I missed a lot of some of the foods I used to gorge on!
But I must say. . that I still have my 'comfort foods'. It could be chocolate..pizza ...or candy. Mines are Cookies!!
When I have that feeling of needing my 'comfort food' I don't hesitate to eat a few cookies. . .I just make sure that I don't over do it like I use to. And sometimes I won't even buy them to keep them in my apartment.
Another thing I've giving up . . .is Soda Pop. I don't buy it and keep them iin my Frig. If I feel a desire to have a Soda Pop. . then I'll buy the small size and drink it. . .and let that be that!
Thanks so much you all. . .I really didn't know I had a body with curves underneath all my fat! |

Amazing and inspiring |
|

Hello
Firstly i wanted to say congratulations on all your hard work and strength. It is an amazing journey and an inspiration to others.
I would live to hear from you and hoping that you could share your knowledge to help inspire others.
I am writing an ebook to help others not make the common mistakes that we all make, the biggest question i have to ask you is how did you stay so mentally strong as i know that this is a big hurdle for alot of people if not all.
If you could share some of your secrets then i would be more than happy to add a link to your posts if you wished.
My email is matthambridge@hotmail.co.uk,
Kindest

I do something similar. I love Mt Dew, but I don't keep any in my fridge. I buy myself one 20 oz bottle on sunday when I go grocery shopping and drink it while I do my sunday cleaning and laundry. If I have soda at any other time during the week then I don't give myself the Sunday soda.
It hasn't led to any weightloss fro me, but it is just healthier that way! Congrats on your weight loss, hopefully it will be me someday> |
