I know there are more of you but afraid to say it because your afraid someone might try to rip you one! LOL
I'm talking about us that dont really need the stuff for our weight but just plain want it for those couple of extra 5 lbs and the GREAT lift of energy it gives!
Let the ripping begin! LOL
Wait let me...
"there are some of us that need it and you are destroying our lives, taking it from us you bad person you"
I know I'm not alone because I personally, not computerly, know 5 people that have no overweight issues that have or are taking phe

Just wondering

FYI...I needed it 1 year ago and got for 1 month from my DR, but got denied after month 2, not complaining though :)

You are very lucky to only have 5 extra lbs to get rid of.
That being the case though, i don't think it's worth going through the hassle or paying the exhorbitant prices to get phentermine when you don't have overweight issues. That's just MHO.
And trust me, after a bit on phentermine, there really isn't much energy boost. You might want to try something else that's cheaper and more readily available!!

I'm fighting flab myself. To lose 5 lbs. You should just make a small adjustment to your input (fewer calories spread over 5 to six small meals and snacks) plus just a little more exercise.  Just a quick walk around the block everynight and you'll get there.

losewt,
What would you suggest that is readily available that would give you a boost of energy and help maintain your weight that is as good as phentermine.  You are right though, after awhile on phentermine, there really isn't the energy boost that it used to be.  I would love to try something cheaper that gives you the boost plus maintain your weight and is as good as phentermine! Would love any suggestions

Really? Zantrex-3?  Wondering if the rest of you know what a plateau is because I am sittin on one and I hate it...no matter how much exercise...how less food and with the phentermine I am stuck...and it really gets my goat when the larger people think because some of us "look" thin that we don't need anything when in fact we have been more successful following the diet with the pill but then we have to maintain to stay that way...maybe someday all you larger people will reach near your goal and understand the upkeep issue.  It is hell believe me! and not easy.  And while I'm at it...it just blows my mind to hear someone say they lost 50 plus pounds in two weeks or something like that when it takes so much work for me to drop 2 to 5 pounds.  Ya'll need to back off.

I know this might not appeal to you but have you ever tried fasting?
Last summer I was determined to try  ( one last time before I got too old to give a shit ) to see how low I could go.
Anyway, I was taking my pills, counting my calories, moving my ass but the scale would not budge!
I started fasting ( liquids only ) and by the end of the week I'd lost 4 pounds in 5 days. I was so psyched I lost another 3 pounds the following month and I've been able to keep it off---with the help of phen, of course!

I'm not sure who you're railing at, Peaches, because most responses seem to be reasonable even if I don't agree with them. I can walk around the block for days, and I won't lose a single pound either.
A lot of people on here take phen to keep pounds off rather than to lose. MRSC started a thread on that subject a few weeks ago, and you should have seen the people coming out of the woodwork to say they're in the same boat! But, as gfoundit says, when resources are scarce, it's every person for themself, I guess, and the fighting starts.

Just to clear things up, I'm not some tiny rail figure, i am 5 foot nothing and any extra makes me sluggish!  Its not how I look but the feel thats terrible.
And according to "ideal" weight charts I come in at the medium to large frame, though Im not flipping out about the weight, like i said for me even after 3 years off and on I still personally get the energy lift.  Its not the same as it used to be but its better than Mt dew, LOL
And if your lucky to find it, it does help!
There are still places out there that arent too over the top pricey, but those days of 90 for $90 are soooooooo gone. So I'm able to settle for 30- 30mg for $75 and be ok knowing they will last for 45-50 days my way.

OH and about the Z3??? does it give you that stupid jittery feeling? I hate that stuff and the way it makes you feel, thats one thing about the phe it does not give you the shakes like so many of the OTC diet pills.

ImageWow! what a thread huh?
Peaches---Do you think you are the only one that has
ever hit a plateau?Image
I have been on both sides of the fat fence and have actually been sitting on the fat side for ages--Image
I have never shamed anyone for their use of phen-
Because...It is not any of my business.
Its your body, Your health, Your money...
do with them as you please....

If you need support --hey we are here..Image
if you need us.

50 pounds in two weeks?? ImageDoubtful.
I would have to say someone is yanking your chain.Image
If anyone ever told me they lost 50 lbs in two weeks
on phen--I would say they are a damned liar.
I really think that kind of weight could only be lost via
Gastric Bypass...
Perhaps you could be more specific as to who
saidmade these comments and then direct them specifically to
"back off"

GFOUNDIT- I do not know what "computerly" means and am not sure what the basis of your initial msg is?
Who is ripping who for what?
as I mentioned above to Peaches,  Its your body, health and money-
If you want to use this medication and are able to purchase it and afford it- Hey--That is your business.

I know we are all capable of having a bad day--
However, EXCLUDING Sugar(whose advice is very valuable) Deebee and losewt-I am sensing some unnecessary sarcasm. And some people blame Deebee for being too Sarcastic? Hmmm. Image

Ok, i'm lost here. I was not being sarcastic in the least bit. I was just giving some simple advice. Not sure where sarcasm plays there. I was simply saying that it may not be worth the hassle of trying to find sources for phen and paying astonomical prices for it.
I was not condescending or sarcastic in any way and if it came off like that, i'm truly sorry. Also, in no way did i mean to lecture and if i came off that way as well, i'm truly sorry too.
To each is own and everyone has the right to take phen no matter what they weigh or how much they need to lose.
Gofoundit, if i offended you in any way, i'm so so sorry as i did not mean to do so.

I really was intending to keep quiet, and not say anything on this thread, but I keep coming back to it. Because there's something in it that makes me feel kind of hurt.
When Peaches wrote "maybe someday all you larger people will reach near your goal and understand the upkeep issue" it felt divisive, and like there are these bigger girls and smaller girl cliques. I feel a bit condescended to as someone who would be one of the "larger people." Yeah, as you said, it's true I can lose more pounds faster than you. It's also true that you losing smaller number of pounds are usually just as noticeable, if not moreso.  At the end of the day, I think we're all in the same boat --we want to be healthy & happy with our bodies. And we want to support each other... Or at least I hope so, because that's why I keep coming back here.
I get that there's real anger there, and maybe a feeling of being misunderstood. Plateau's suck. One day, when I am in your shoes, at or near goal, I will do everything in my power to stay/get there. If phen is the only way you (or I!) can do it, then so be it. But when we start being judgemental of one another in the kind of way I read in that post, we let the worst of society come right here, into our own home, into a safe place. So I hope no one here feels attacked, but I really had to let that off my chest.
Now I'll go back to my hippie peace and love shack.

Loseweight-
no hurt feeling from your advice! Pretty sure we are all here for the same thing, support.  Whether we are maintaining, losing or looking for something we are here and together and for the same thing!!

Mr/Mrs P
As far as the question as what was the reason for my initial msg??
LOL
"computerly"  LOL
you remind me of my grandma, I love her but I have to explain everything in detail 3 times!  Sometimes there just isnt a reason, go with it!

and Jax-  you are right!

I'm like you too....Phen gives me a boost and keeps certain impulses at bay.  I was a bulimic for a long time and phen makes any desire to binge/purge disappear.  I've tried Prozac (supposed to do the same) and it's not as effective.  I also don't have much to lose, but it keeps me at the low end of normal...my comfort zone. I have more than five pounds to lose because I ate a few too many chocolates during my last pregnancy, but I understand where you are coming from. Funny thing is, I hate chocolate in "real life" but I craved it when I was pregnant...sadly, that craving is sitting right around my ass! Haha!

Did you get it from a real doctor last year? How did you manage to pull that off with only a little to lose??
