Is it safe to assume that my HMO insurance won't pay for the Rx? And if not.....how costly is it? Roughly...

I doubt your insurance will pay for it.
Prices vary---it depends on which pharmacy you use and what part of the country you're from.
When I used Dr. B the phen was around 40 something and the Prozac ( I got a generic ) was around 30 something---per month.

When I used Dr B, I got my scripts filled at Walmart.  I really can't remember the exact amount I paid, but it was close to what Deebee paid (around $40-45) per month.

Thanks for the posts/replies.  It is now Friday...the morning after my visit w/Dr. Anchors.  His secretary (his sister) told me to take my Rx to COSTCO (yoiu don't have to be a member to use the pharmacy) and I did.  I was blown away!!  The total cost of the 2 came to just under $28!!  The Pro was only $7.61 and the Phen was just $20 and some odd cents!  And here is the clincher...since it was my first visit, he (as you all probably already know how this works) it wsa for TWO months supply!  I go back for my "6 week" follow up on the 25th of August so I should still have pills by then.
I am excited.  He is a character for sure...very animated, yet pretty funny!  I understand the arrogance vibe that people get from him but I will assume it is mere passion and confidence in what he is pitching.  He says what he believes and some of it isn't nice, but, again, it is what he feels to be the truth.  I didn't take anything personally which is hard for me to do because I am quite thin skinned!!  Day one....here I go!!!!!!!!!

What kind of Phen did Costco dispense? [What is the imprint on them?]
Glad to hear Dr. A. was personable. For a change. Ha!

Sugar I'll be able to answer that but not until I get home from work (I kept them home).  But I do remember looking at them this morning and saw some little blue specs/coloring.  Does that help?

Yes, it narrows it down to two possible suspects! 504s or MP273s...

$168 is still cheaper than what some people are paying for 30 tablets online.......30 tablets that they wait for on pins and needles, no less!

It makes me want to strangle the doctors out there who won't even CONSIDER prescribing  it for maintenance or depression.....
and, it makes me want to scream at  Ryan Haights parents for being so f-ing clueless!

I need to research this Ryan Haights thing....I meant to do that the other day when I asked what the accronym stood for.
But wow....it sounds like I truly am blessed to have Dr. A, as someone mentioned, "right in my own backyard" so to speak!
